NFLX (NFL Expanded) is a 36 team league based on the premise that the NFL and the original USFL merged in 1987 (as a result of the USFL winning the trial, but also getting the money – which didn’t happen in real-life when they won the trial and got $1 in damages). In this timeline, the NFL is now playing an 18-game regular season over 20 week (each team gets two bye weeks). The season begins Labor Day Weekend and end of the Sunday of President’s Day weekend, The conference/division alignment is:

AFC
East Division: Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Bulls, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets
Central Division: Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Oilers, Indianapolis Colts, Memphis Showboats and Pittsburgh Steelers
West Division: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and Utah Stampeders
NFC
East Division: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Warthogs
Central Division: Birmingham Stallions, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints
West Division: Arizona Outlaws, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Wildcats, San Antonio Gunslingers, San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams
