Schenn: “It all starts with me, with that happening in Ottawa (8-1 L) and then happening again tonight… it all starts with me. I can’t let that happen again this season. You’re going to lose games but to get embarrassed on home ice on Saturday night, you can’t let that happen.”

  1. It’s crazy how fast I’ve turned on Schenn. I was very supportive of him becoming our captain because he was the last “true blue” in my opinion. Running around against the wild in the post season being a bulldozer with fractured ribs always stuck with me. However, now he’s quickly lost any offensive touch he once had and doesn’t really bring the physicality either. I really don’t know where we go from here, but it’s on him and the coaching staff to hype the team up and come out sharp.

If Schenn doesn’t get in a fight next game or make some other effort, that will tell me all I need to know.

  2. We used to be one of the toughest teams to play, especially at home. It was because we were tough and physical. You didn’t come to town to play the Blues without getting beat up. That’s the style that won the cup. Now it’s pansie ass hockey. Whoever counts hits isn’t watching the games I watch. Breathing heavy on a guy is not a hit. Slamming the boards and missing the player is also not a hit. I miss the old Blues.
