Getting Arty a start in Abby today is a good call. Young fills the required goalie roster spot.
Excited to see Lekki although his play away from the puck has not been great apparently.
Ty Young? He was just in the ECHL. Surely this is just cap related.
Uhhh, Silovs got sent down? And Ty young into the main squad?
He’s actually here. I am so excited to see Lekkerimäki.
Damn, Nils Aman was so bad last night, Bains got sent down just by association without even having dressed for a game.
Ty Young is only being called up because you need two goalies on your roster. Silovs is going down to get playing time in Abby for a short period of time, so Ty gets to ride the pine and watch the game from one of the best seats in the arena.
I’m assuming this is so Silovs gets some starts in Abby? Probably needed he’s been sitting for a while (not including the 10 or so minutes he played last night)
Excited. I knew Lek would be called up after his preseason, but not this early.
With Boeser out and Sprong traded, they have a lot of confidence in him.
Where would they slot in lekkie? I hope with Pettey, and some PP time. Shots lethal!
Young gets a day of NHL salary, Silovs gets a start, and the Canucks save a tidy bit of cap space between the difference of the outgoing 3 contracts and the incoming 2 contracts.
Excited to see Lekkeremakki, but we should be prepared for him to play like 8-10 sheltered minutes/night.
Nice, Lekk gets a taste of the bigs. He’ll need to work on his two-way game if he’s going to stay up… and he may be a bit light and weak, at this point, to weather the long haul… but, this should be a good teaching opportunity.
I expect that Young is just up for emergency duty and to gives Silovs a chance to work off the rust. I expect to see Demko back in a support role shortly.
WE ARE SO BACK
Send the Arty Party for a starty in Abbotsfarty I like it
Hoping for an eventual PetterMäki combo
They be warming Arty up to start against Calgary
Until someone dresses for a game in their respective league, I’m almost certain that Young/Šilovs swap is purely cap shenanigans as Young makes $25K less
Damn, Columbus got to Fabbro before us, who was basically the last guy on the market who can play Top 4 minutes that went for absolutely nothing.
It’s puzzling why we haven’t even considered going for a bargain bin option, considering that we’re definitely not going to have the assets or time to land 2 Top 4 D at the deadline.
I am genuinely concerned about our defense, especially after last night’s showing. We’re one Myers injury away from Desharnais on the 2nd pairing and in a world where we go far in the playoffs, Soucy & Myers should be the bottom pair at this point..

Excited to see what Lekkerimaki can do
That’s Lekki’s intro music playing
