And no GM worth their salt will want to come here after he’s fired, because they will also be at the mercy of our meddling owner(s) geriatric hands reaching into every decision.
105th of 107. 50 years of data. And most of those guys didn’t get free agency. Hahahahaha. Fuck JD
Joe Douglas will get another GM job after we inevitably fire him. He will do fine.
This team has talent. The owner sucks. The coaching sucks. The culture sucks. And the QB has neutered them all and does whatever the hell he wants. The only one of those things I hold JD accountable for is hiring the coach.
JD was fine from 2020-2022, usually hit with a couple of stinging but justifiable misses.
Almost all of his major decisions after the fact were bad though
Yet 75% of Jets fans act like he’s a god tier GM
But i was told Joe was a good GM and was going to save the franchise?
One thing that drives me a bit nuts are the people who try and defend him by justifying the process / decision making. They say things like – at the time this was a sound, smart move. Can’t fault him that the player didn’t work (Zach), etc.
Having a good, sound process is part of it, and it’s important. But you have to provide results! Look across town – Schoen drafted what looked like no brainer picks in Evan Neal and Kayvon. Analysts and fans loved the picks. Those guys suck (Evans) or are overrated (K). Who cares if the process or idea were sound?
How can we possibly suck this bad. Was not that long ago that everyone laughed at the browns for being so awful, everyone feeling so bad for their fans.
We are the browns now.
As much as JD is to blame, this coaching staff is pathetic and out of their depth. Unprofessional and unprepared almost every week. Stupid and undisciplined penalties every game. Too many Missed tackles and coverages.
Rodgers and Adams can placate all they want but they are some of the leaders on this team. Players look to them to lead by example.
I was at the game today. They looked tired and even uninterested during the first half even before it went on to be a blowout.
Ultimately there is just no accountability in this franchise from the top down to the ball boy. This added to a weak culture gets you what we are watching.
We all deserve better football to watch than this.

Are we seriously blaming JD? This is the most stacked roster we’ve ever seen on a jets team. It is not his fault they aren’t performing.
Just bring in Belechek at this point. I don’t fucking care we need some discipline across the board and I’m willing to bet Woody would let him run the team.
Let’s be nice and say the Jets finish their last 7 games 2-5. If so Joe Douglas is going to wrap up his Jets career 32-68, easily the worst career mark of any GM in franchise history. If there was a loser hall of fame that insane degree of failure would certainly get him in on the first ballot

I still don’t get the hate for him. He put all these piece into place the coaches just couldn’t execute. Has everyone forgot where we came from, how our drafts use to be and how free agency went for us. Hell the man can fleece the fuck out of teams for draft capital.

From now on, these guys get one whiff at qb. After wilson was a bust, all of these guys should have been gone. They don’t get a do over.
