The New York Islanders Need This Player Back ASAP and It May Not Be Who You Think

1. Louzer's first round pick given up for a 4 d man much needed. Louzer must have mistook 28 for a norris trophy candidate instead of a much needed 40-50 goal scorer. Injuries are kicking louzer's ass this season. Hopefully hastening his much anticipated bye bye as this team is nowhere near playoff line with no depth no scoring no d past top 3 no tuffness no hope. Just be glad 30 may keep isles out of the cellar of things louzer

2. Lou isnt interested in defense. He has made that abundantly clear. He wants fast skaters to get into the play. One big problem when your guys up front aren't making plays doesn't matter if the defensemen get involved and that leaves you exposed. Defensemen are about defending your zone and net that's it!!! If they score its a bonus its why our goalies are so often left out to dry. We need big nasty defensemen who play defense and like to hit. Now the subject of young players, this organization ruins hockey careers they have done it for a long time. I wish I could remember the goalie we used to have that we ruined his career. He was really good and all we did with him is we kept sending him back and forth and he never got established and ended up going elsewhere over seas I believe. That's what this organization does, if you look around the league of players that played for us and then got shipped out and its alot they went onto pretty good careers and we just wasted them. I knew when they signed Anthony Duclair what was coming I told my wife(also was an avid Islander fan and knew her stuff) that he will be hurt most of the season you watch, sure enough it happened. I expected it to be a little longer but it is the Islanders. I am so tired of this league being mirror images of each other that's why you don't have the great rivalries anymore everything is the same. The team, the buildings, they way you play, back in the day every team had an identity when you went to Philly or Boston or the Rangers you knew what was coming now those rivalries mean nothing its just another team with the same style. Sorry I am rambling again but I loved this sport Gary Bettman has ruined this league just like he did with the NBA. Its now sports entertainment not just a sport!!!!!

5. Gil,I agree that the Islanders need to be younger, faster, and more skilled.
   The problem is,and I have said this numerous times. Is that Lou Lamarello needed to do this at least 3 years ago!
   By not starting to give out long-term contracts to the nowhere near top-notch players that have hamstrung this team and their salary cap situation!
   I'm sorry, but it's about time that Lou Lamarello is let go and put out to pasture.

7. Good 🌄, Gil how are you? Monday's practice went on without Mike Reilly or Alexander Romanov, whether they'll be available for tonight's game against The 🐧 remains to be seen. They sent Bouldoc back to Bridgeport. He's not a bad player, but he made a mistake, and he paid for it. Once again, THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING, AND FAST. They need to get Alexander Romanov healthy not too quick, because we don't want a relapse. He can get physical, set up plays, and can put the puck in the net. Well, David from NYC, I wouldn't trade Noah Dobson. I think he should be benched for a few games, but don't trade him just yet. The Islanders play The Pittsburgh 🐧 at UBS Arena tonight. They're ahead of The Islanders, but not by much. If the Islanders can keep Sidney Crosby in ✔️, they've got a chance. HAPPY 🎂, ALEXI YASHIN. He was the Captain of the team. A great player. He had 4 goals against The Chicago Blackhawks. Hear from you, Gil, I got to 🗳, and LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

10. Good morning team! Gil, I have one comment to make about today's episode. It might make no difference at all when these injuries for the team happens, but if this was going to happen regardless, I sure am glad it's happening in the beginning of the season versus later in the year. I have a close friend that is a Penguins fan, and I told him just for today, he is not my friend. He said the game tonight should end in a 0-0 tie, and after a scoreless OT, they ended the shootout due to the fact that no player was able to score to break the tie.

11. I agree that Ramanov is missed definitely. He is physical and offers some offense. The main issue I hear is about how poor Dobson is in his own end. I don't disagree, he can be better. But if people take a look around at the Norris trophy winners over the past few seasons, or the "elite" defenseman throughout the league, they aren't celebrated for their defense capability. The Norris candidates are defenseman that put up points. They need to be paired with a positionally-sound partner so they can do what it is they do best. Dobson had a whole geriatric ward as a linemate early in his tenure. He can't be denied so he's on the top pair. He needs either peleck of pulloc to be his partner because ramanov leaves his position to lay the big hit. Everyone is calling for a Dobson trade or saying he's not worth the money.. watch him go somewhere else where they know how to use him and it'll be lights out. He's 24 and the best skating defenseman we have.

12. Here I am. Old time Islanders fan. Here's the deal: I don't care WHO is on the ice for the Islanders…EFFORT is all I'm looking for. And EFFORT beat the Penguins tonight! There was a reason we had a dynasty like no other NHL team. LGI!!
