The Seattle Seahawks Have A BIG Decision To Make On Abraham Lucas

Seattle Seahawks news and rumors today have the latest on Abraham Lucas, as he is expected to be cleared for his 21-day window to return to the field for the first-time this season. The Seattle Seahawks have the choice to make in the coming days of whether or not to activate Lucas or put him on injured reserve for the remainder of the 2024 NFL Season. The right tackle position on the Seattle Seahawks offensive depth chart has been a mess and if Lucas is healthy, the Seahawks could certainly use him. The Seattle Seahawks square off with the San Francisco 49ers after the bye week and Mike Macdonald will need all hands on deck to get through the homestretch of the year. Abraham Lucas could be a huge asset in protecting QB Geno Smith. Chat Sports’ Tyler Jones has more in this Seattle Seahawks YouTube video!

  1. Evan, if he comes back, your first 5 picks in the draft should be Offensive lineman! John Schneider's consistently ignored this most crucial aspect of the team for the last 10 years! and you have to have depth because every year, you're going to lose 3 offensive linemen to injury!

  2. If, he can’t make it back this year, it’s time to draft a new RT. That would be my first pick, unless we get a stud in free agency, but we’d have to pay him and I’m certain he’d be old, or not good, hence being released. Draft priority!

  3. He's probably not a tackle anymore. He won't be able to move with the same range of motion but that might be a blessing in disguise if he became a good guard and helped the inside run game.

  4. Fire John. As far as Abe Lucas I loved him when we first got him, he and Charles cross were killing it so it really does suck to not see him on the field at all. However, we need to address the elephant in the room and that’s John, he’s ruining us with these cheap signings and terrible trades. We never address any key needs and right we need to be building our future. John is still part of the past, so along with Pete John on his way out.
