Bart Starr is the answer. His first 3 years were abysmal. Drafted in the 17th round.
Far sure Davante. I was amongst the rest of us gnashing our teeth before he figured out the drops.
Adams will win but I would also throw Micah Hyde out there
Aaron jones. Had to fight for every inch of his starting spot. Became legendary.
Do we count Favre’s year in Atlanta? That would be a slam dunk.
Brett Farve should be this or next dude was a random trade then threw a pick first down he played
Rodgers.
Fans were swearing at him, they wanted him traded. And he looked horrible in his limited time until his 3rd season and the Dallas game. The rest is history.
Davante.
Hard to believe there was a time when he couldn’t catch.
Seeing D Adams in this spot in the comments isn’t right. Davante was a second round pick at 53. Saying he started off bad because a few drops in his rookie campaign is wild. He def finished great with his trade value tho. Jmo I’d say he is the started ok candidate. That being said I nominate Double D. 7th round number 213 overall and goes on to be the packers all time leading receiver.
17 no doubt
It’s only Adams slander up in here!!!!
How about anyone else?
Davante is going to win, but want to give a shout out to James Jones, who went from dropping everything to being able to catch anything in the vicinity
Love the Clay position. I just remember a couple of years after his stardom thinking he seems to be out of position for almost every run play or short pass to the middle.
Davante is a great answer but I think Jordy and James Jones could be considered
Bart Starr
Davante for sure
Donald Driver here maybe? Might be more in the started ok camp.
Rodgers. First real game action in 2005: 8-15, 65 yards 1 INT. Didn’t throw his first TD pass until three years in.
Got booed at Family Night his first year as a starter in 2008, completed just 7-20 passes for 84 yards in the practice.
Then, obviously, we know what happens next.
Also, I wonder if we end up going with Favre for great-great. First game he played he led the comeback against the Bengals. Kitrick Taylor! And obviously, the last game sucked, but at least it was a year he was an MVP candidate and led us to the NFC Championship.
Mike Wahle. His first starts were at left tackle and he was awful. Ended up a really good guard for us.
Charles Woodson- Not for play or performance but he really didn’t want to be in Green Bay. Pack were coming off 4-12, New coach, overall not happy. Ended pretty great as he has his best seasons with the Pack.
If you dont look at his personal shit, or anything after leaving GB, Favre. 2nd round pick, went to Falcons, their coach wanted nothing to do with him, got traded to GB(Ron Wolfe da man), first pass was to himself, to ended up being Mr. GB for years. (then of course, personal drama, not wanting to go to off season work outs, I am retiring, i am not retiring, going to the jets, dick pics, viking, etc)
Like i said if you ignore his personal issues, and anything post GB, started his career bad, his start with GB did not looking promising on the first pass, to getting us our first ring since SB 2
Bart Starr today, Davante Adams tomorrow.
Adams had a good rookie year; it was his 2nd that was bad. Starr was awful (and benched often) before late 1960.

Davante Adams has to be here or the next one I think
Davante
Easily Davante. People wanted him cut his first couple seasons and he ended up as one of the top WRs in the league
Davante Adams. He was looking like a sure fire bust after year 2 and then he turned into a top 5 WR.
