Hard to win bball games when you give up the most 3’s at the highest percentage. Very revealing data!

Obviously our opponents won’t continue to shoot like prime Ray Allen from 3, but we are giving up way too many attempts.
When you’ve been bottom 5 for perimeter defense for 3 seasons, teams are going to shoot more 3s. Are some of them BS, yes. But historically the data shows that these teams cannot defend the 3. It’s not a variance when dudes consistently shoot 40% from behind the arc on us.
The scheme of over-helping on D has got to change if this team wants to ever get somewhere.
This feels so unlucky but I just know it isn’t and I have no way to understand if it’s or isn’t
It just seems bizarre – we have a DD as a great on ball defender and at least a pretty decent rim protector in CC to allow other defenders to play shooters tighter. I’m not saying we should be great, but so bad that we’re an outlier?
Obviously we are giving up too many 3 attempts and way too many open 3’s. That said, the other teams seem to really shoot the lights out against us too. Kuzma came into the game against us unable to hit the ocean from a boat and proceeded to hit 5/6 from 3 with many tightly contested. Chet same thing. DeAaron Fox was smoking against us and 0/11 next night from 3 agsinst Raps. Tobias Harris is shooting like 25% on 3’s but hits 5/8 vs us.Teams seem to hit like 75% on wide open 3’s against us and we are lucky if we sniff 50%. The only game it seems the other team wasnt shooting lights out against us was the Bulls (we sucked at all other aspects however).Thats like a 9-15 pt difference every game. I gotta think it evens out some eventually.
