Perry with a All in Mindset this offseason

  1. Normally I would make a snarky comment about how this is obvious since we just had the worst season in franchise history but knowing this team everything is up in the air lol

  2. We need to improve through the draft and development, not through FA until we’re actually close to contending.

It’s shocking if a GM doesn’t understand this concept.

  3. The phrase “we’re definitely going to improve” feels so up in the air. Like he said, we lost 99 games, so realistically you can only improve from there. You can also go worse and lose 100 games. Getting a guy like Soler with some pop does feel like an improvement. But then you get Hendricks and it feels like they’re scraping from the bottom of the barrel.

  4. “We’re going to foolishly spend on older players so that the flames under our asses dims a bit so we can keep our jobs”

  5. This team is the opposite of Moneyball. We’re going to buy old and washed up players and pay them what they were worth 10 years ago

It’s like Moneyball, but more like Losing-Moneyball

All in the names of selling jerseyz and buttz in seatz

  6. improving combined with a long term plan is great and what needs to be done. Improving without one is more of the same and will yield similar results to the last 20 years

  7. If I say to my wife, “baby, I’m ALL IN” and what I’m all in is the babysitters DMs and a ponzi scam… ummm, pretty much better to be ALL OUT.

  8. Yeah right, they say the same thing every year. The not spending is one thing, but saying ur “improving” by trading away good young pitching in favor of sum old washed up pitcher, then doing the same with an outfielder, not what I would call “improving “.

  9. Let’s go down memory lane and read some Perry quotes:

“We have a lot of talent here, and I believe we can compete at a high level” [Dec ’20]

“The Angels made a flurry of internal moves that should bring a smile to the face of every Angels fan alive” [Aug ’21]

“I feel like we’ve improved from where we are last year” [Mar ’22]

“For this organization to do that, we needed to have a young core to build around… And I believe in this young core. We finally have it.” [Oct ’23]

“We’re going to be really aggressive this offseason, and we’re going to make this team better.” [Nov ’23]

“We’re definitely going to improve” [Nov ’24]

  10. After having the worst record in franchise history, he should just say “we literally can’t get any worse than we are right now. “ 😌
