Says a lot that the two guys we brought in to be our starters are both off the team by mid season.
Love the Hair bro! Getting right out of bed to get us our Seahawks Breaking News! That's true Dedication.
He’s probably gonna get picked up by a team and then start playing like a pro bowler
With all these injuries it’s like we’re basically back to square 1
24th in the league in tackles. Yikes. Idk if this is a good move
Trying to rationalize this and all i can think is a late commitment to tanking by getting rid of someone who obv wasn’t gonna stay long term or dodson requesting this cuz knight was bound to take that starting spot eventually.
There must be more to it; it doesn’t make any sense to whatsoever to me. I know he wasn’t doing well, but I don’t think they have anyone better or a backup.
It was because of incentives to he was going to get.
Brooks or Wagner as slow as he is would have been better! Jones is solid. I think he'll be fine.
Accountability. This sends a message to the whole team. Play the scheme or watch the rest of the season on tv.
this might send a message to the other players as well. No one (except a select few) is safe.
Looks like MacDonald is sick and tired of John's awful roster construction.
Dotson has a loud mouth. Culture is key.
McDonald brings the Harbaugh no BS attitude , play , or get the hell out of here .
I heard if he goes unclaimed, Seahawks will owe him $4 millions for this outright release. 😳😳
wtf is this, are we just throwing things against the wall until they stick
Pretty sure McDonald's scheme only works with fast good linebacker play
I’m guessing he asked for his release after being told of demotion
The next thing that needs to be cut is your hair 😂
It says that JS is swinging and missing on free agents and draft picks
Did not see that coming…
Why tho????

Seahawks should have signed Patrick Queen when he was a free agent. They had let go Wagner and brooks. I have no idea why they didn't. Schneider needs to put his big boy pants. O-line disaster Geno Smith is not starter. OVERALL BAD DECISIONS!!
Make it make sense sway!
BRUH WTF 😅
We had Bobby last year like wtf
Trade away Geno and DK in the off season (both are inconsistent, great one moment crap the next) and that would be a great start. Rebuild time.
i don’t think he was bad enough to waive but it sends a message that MM isn’t going for the bs
I like the fact that McDonald isn’t seeing what he wants , then he moves on. No need to hold onto what isn’t working. 9 games in a good enough sample size.
I enjoy watching Mike McDonald rebuild this team only thing I can get excited about.
Dumpster
Have very mixed feelings about this. I don't know how good of a message it sends to players that if they ask to be released AND PAID that we'll accommodate that rather than telling them "practice harder, beat out the next guy up, and you'll be starting again". I guess if we were to start Olu and Connor Williams asks to be released, we'll just eat his salary too? If Rayshawn Jenkins comes back and they tell him they're sticking with Coby Bryant and he asks to be released, I guess now we're doing that too. I'm sure Pharoah Brown is watching this. Let's release and pay him too. Then when these guys clear waivers, we can add their salaries to the $30M we're paying Jamal Adams and Diggs to not play for us.
I like to imagine Blitz giving him the news with a note that says "0 is my jersey number"
Getting cut like this usually means he got into some legal trouble.
Why not just rid of Geno next… lol
Why didn’t we trade him last Tuesday instead?
We couldn't have traded him for at least something?
Brooks said the Seahawks Defense was predictable and boring. So it's interesting if he or other LBs could have been better in a different scheme.
Baker was effort issue. With his injury, he was not 100 percent. And plus the effort issue. Tyrel was trying. He was in every play. But the guy is too small. When you're a rookie, it's okay. But if you become a veteran, you need to bulk up. If you're not as quick as rookie years, at least you need to muscle guys down behind the line of scrimmage. I wish him the best. Good bye Tyrel.
