I commented in the game thread and I’ll say it again here, Sarr’s shot diet needs work. He’s currently shooting 9.9 FGs a game with 5.0 of them being 3’s. He’s shooting **34%** for the season (and that was prior to him going 2/9 tonight and 0/3 from 3)
Obviously it’s still early in his career but these bricked 3’s and poor shooting nights could definitely have lasting effects on his confidence and development. Keefe needs to work on getting him some shots at the rim, more than half his shots can’t be 3’s when his shot isn’t there yet…it just doesn’t seem like a healthy developmental game plan to have him out there bricking 3’s and getting cooked on defense by actual NBA centers (Bam, JJJ, Sengun, etc). If nothing changes, I just hope he has the mental fortitude to work through this if things keep up
The tank rolls on
I’m not personally satisfied with how Poole and Kuz have played, but there’s no way you guys are watching the rookies get abused by the Rockets core and going “actually, they need LESS help out there.” Like come on.
Kyshawn George is the truth.
Bilal showed some promise with lockdown defense and I like how his floater/stop-and-pop has gotten better over the offseason.
Good to see Kuz using his strength and getting some rhythm back without taking an obscene number of shots (edit: looks like he took 18 shots lmao, didn’t feel like that much to me. 18 is too many).
Another good learning experience for both Bub and Sarr. Sarr still jumps on pump fakes way too much, but he’s only a few games into his professional career. A bit more patience and another 15-20 pounds of muscle and he’ll be able to hang with most PFs and Cs in the league. And Bub with four steals and two blocks, he’s got that dawg in him!
I’m glad we got those wins against Atlanta because it might be a while before we get another.
Bilal was killing them 1 on 1 in the first half and then just ghosted in the second? Guess Kuz and Poole have to get theirs when they can’t hit shots.. So frustrating
Bilal disappearing in the second half. Giving up 20 more boards. Not scoring 3 digits. Really dumb mistakes, like really dumb. Some of which were just being really careless, like an easy inbound late in the 4th. Much like last night, not many positives to pull out of this one.
Cooper Flagg please save us
I didn’t watch, but the box score is telling me that Kuz is dragging us down
See now time to focus on Offensive prospects in the draft. Need scoring
This team is starting to show its youth more the last couple games I don’t think it’s going to be quite as fun as we think it will be..
Especially with the way pool is sloppy again and kuzma is just a dumpster fire like usual
Bilal needs more shots. Love the efficiency but I need at least 12 – 15 attempts from him per night.
How do you take 18 shots in 24 mins and your name isn’t Luka doncic?
