  1. I am at a loss. 🤔

However, athletes are creatures of habit. Monty needs to set his lines and leave them be. Most players hate being bounced around the lineup and crave stability. I get that he's desperate, but it's the right move. Time to dig deep and find your balls, Jimbo.

  2. I said last season it looked like Montgomery was trying to bury Poitras with all the benchings. Looks like he finally got his way. He never put Poitras in a position to succeed. The kid played center all his life, putting him on the wing he looked lost out there. Yet the few times they were on the ice together you could see how well he connected with Pasta or Marchand. I have no idea how this move makes the team better.

  3. Not saying he's the only problem, but Charlie McAvoy is not a Top 10 defenseman in this league. Almost every team we've played has a better Top D man

  4. Once again, Montgomery punishes a young guy for small mistakes and rewards a veteran for past performances. I will say it agaim Montgomery is horrible for developing talent.

  5. There is only so much Montgomery can do. The Bruins not getting a shot on goal in the 3rd period is on the players? McAvoy has under performed, we thought with the addition of Zadarov would elevate McAvoy, it’s not happening?

  6. STOP USING 4 FORWARDS ON PP AND USE 2D TO HELP KEEP THE THE PUCK IN OFFENISE ZONE BUT MONTY WON'T BECAUSE IT'S TO EASY BUT AFTER TRYING EVERYHING ELSE WHY NOT TRY THIS TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS THE BRUINS ARE NOT WHAT SWEENY THINKS THIS TEAM IS, TRY ANYTHING TO BE BETTER. BETTER 5V5 HITTING AND MORE SHOTS ON GOAL WILL IMPROVE THE TEAM.

  7. Poitras tried hard, battled hard, and at least skated well in the games I saw. A head scratcher for sure, but (and I hate to say this) I never once liked Monty. If you look at this season something strange is happening. Geekie has been awful and was great last year and the entire team is undisciplined and unfocused. Sad times for all of us Bruins fans and should we make the playoffs unless a major change happens it's an easy early exit. I've had enough of this.

  8. i agree that there are other players underachieving worse than poitras. but, i think his defensive screwups have been killers. we know he can generate offense, so if he stays in providence for a few games i'd like to see them throw him in the defensive end of the pool. take the big face offs. close out periods. PK and checking line duties. introduce him to what he needs to know to become a two way player. in the past two years, geekie would show an offensive flash here and there, but that's not his everyday play. putting him on the first line, i guess, is better than the sixth line. monty is just rolling the dice now putting a third line player on the first line. there is no logical evidence for such a move, and it is more likely to hamstring your other two first line players, rather than add to the mix. maybe it is time for cam and donnie to address the team and tell them about the possibilities of blowing up this lopsided bus with three flat tires. we are now getting to the point where everyone has to ask — what is the point of keeping a forward group of 9 bottom 6 forwards together ? what is the point of paying top dollar to a defensive corps of players with reputations only, unwilling to cover in front of their net and stay out of the box ? they've had enough time to get out of their funks. i've never heard of an entire team ( minus the 4th line ) playing collectively for 16 games with their heads up their kiesters. it is mental laziness. in it for one period and out to lunch the next.

  9. I really liked your pesentation and just subscribed. I'm gobsmacked that Poitras is getting singled out to go to Providence. He's not the worst of their problems. Theres probably 4 other forwards who should be going there before him. Oh well, who am I?

  10. I’m getting tired of commenting about the same thing, but it’s always the same thing with Monty. He seems to have no pulse of the team and is grasping at straws…I keep giving him another game or another week, but the result hasn’t changed…more than 20 minutes of ice time without a shot on net is pathetic. He has used up all the rope he has earned the last 2 years and needs to go now…but unfortunately neither Sweeney or Neely have the balls to pull the trigger right now…such a sad time for the black and gold

  11. Yeah. Put Hampus on the PP. I think he's one of the few players who is actually playing this season.

Potrais? I'd need an accounting degree to follow all that puckpedia stuff.
