  1. If this is really it. I thank gleyber for a roller coaster of a Yankees career. Lots of good and bad but there will be a void next year for sure.

  2. Bye

Edit: it’s alright guys wherever he ends up he’s going to be a different and way better player because that’s what happens when players leave the Yankees.

  3. Good hitting but he was pretty much everything the Yankees are bad at as a team, fielding and base running.

  4. not reading into it but I want him back as our leadoff hitter for the next few years. I’ve been saying for years he would have been a better hitter in that spot and he looked like a completely different guy there once they did it. Gleyber isn’t the type of player to excel in any lineup spot, he clearly functions as a better hitter when a guy like Soto or Judge is behind him because pitchers are more aggressive.

  5. To me it’s always crazy to think you know you’re not going to sign the dude, why not trade him for some pieces?

  6. One of the great trades of 2016 for Cashman.

Gleyber had some huge Yankee moments but he’s very guilty of the drunken base running and sloppy defense that doomed this team when it mattered the most.

Won’t be shocked if we see him sporting facial hair for another team come spring training.

Take the money Gleyber is asking for and add it to the pile for Juan Soto. Move Jazz to 2B and play Oswaldo at 3B

  7. Always pushing, pushing, pushing. If he had just tried to stay true to the player he was as a prospect, he’d be choosing which team was going to back up the money truck for him, have similar power numbers, and a better overall baseball card. The guy he was for the second half was the guy he could have been the entire time.

  8. IDK the case for re-signing him. His career average WAR per season is only that of a typical starter’s, and last season he played only slightly above replacement, not even at a typical starter’s WAR.

You know how players often play best in walk years? Well, 1.8 WAR in a walk year does not bode well for him

  9. Yeh good postszn but brutal all year defensively & it’s hard to forgive jogging to first over and over. Time to move on from him

  10. Meh whatever. If he really wanted to stay maybe he should have thought about actually giving a shit during his contract year🤷🏻‍♂️👋🏻
