  1. The "He doesn't care about basketball" is so bullshit and a straight up LIE. Jokic cares about it… he love it… he's passionate about it. You can't get those numbers without "caring about basketball". He love it and he even show it on this very same game on a last minute timeout how mad he was on the bench with his teammates missing the direction and their lack of committing to playing the defensive scheme. He plays harder than anyone. He outrun and outstamina everyone. He plays hard on EVERY SINGLE PLAY for 48 minutes without taking mental breaks like at lot of players do nowadays.

    Jokic LOVES basketball far more than 99% of the players on today NBA. So please… stop this lie about him "not caring". He does and do it very deeply. Americans players and fans don't care about basketball. They don't love it. Don't care. All they care and love is the drama around basketball, but not the sport itself and i almost forgot. They LOVE THEIR FREAKING BETTING TOO

  4. When watching Jokic play I am constantly reminded that in 1992 there was a film ”White Men Can’t Jump”, starring Wesley Snipes as ‘Sidney Deane’ and Woody Harrelson as ‘Billy Hoyle’.

    Some quotes.

    Sidney Deane to Billy Hoyle :- “You see Billy it's like this, you either smoke or you get smoked. And you got smoked”.

    Billy Hoyle to Sidney Deane :- “A white man wants to win first, look good second. A black man wants to look good first, win second”.

    Again Billy Hoyle to Sidney Deane :- “A black man would rather miss than look bad”.

    Still very relevant today, just look at the bench when someone does something eye catching, whether it scores points or not it is celebrated.

    Do they get as excited about the less flashy fundamental stuff.

    Jokic is just about winning, he cares little to nothing about personal accolades, just winning.

  6. Before you knock his athleticism, search up real quick on what it feels like to guard Jokic and they'll tell you how "not athletic" he really is.

  9. I think you guys ought to reconsider what it means to be "athletic". You don't play at that level without being athletic. Sadly, the prevailing perception about guys like Luka, Bird, and Joker is poisoned by racial stereotype and bias.

  13. That’s why I always thought Anthony Edwards saying nobody in the 90s and before had skill except MJ and Kobe is CRAZY. He thinks just because he way more athletic and can dribble dribble step back that he can’t learn from greats back then 😂 it’s so stupid that’s the problem with guys today

I can understand where he comes from when he says Americans lack skill we are far more athletic so that could be a big reason we not as skilled Jokic, Luka , them doesn’t do anything to wow you as far as how quick they are or how high they jump but the IQ/skillsets are superb and even more productive

  16. American players lack skill and effort. Kids get picked early and never have to work. Showna few highlights, parents and coaches dick ride and all they can do is score.

    They never win, never pass, and never hustle.

  17. Man is completely mistaken. My dear friend, that Serbian would outwork you, overturn you, over run you,…every single game. You, "with your athleticism," are probably able to output that athleticism for a maximum of 20-30 minutes of a game, and then your results and outputs are going to fall fast. On the other hand, that "unathletic" Jokic will have the same level of output in the 5th minute as in the 40th. He is far stronger than ALL of you, though you look only more 'explosive' than him.

  18. Joke doesn’t even have a social media to post his workouts. Its just him. Thats the type of player i like. As a laker fan i get jealous because he is the opposite of what is the “norm”. Its refreshing to see a player not care about the “idea” of being a superstar of a sports organization.

    The “idea” part of that statement is referring to the jewelry, cars, status, clothes, women, bravado, and braggadocio.

    You know all the materialistic and cultural things that normal players would care about. The constant infatuation of promoting yourself. Albeit you are supposed to be a icon to some people , because you are at that level of influence and public status. However, jokic doesn’t seem to care nor does he even want to entertain the thought of being that way.

    He is just a guy who is extremely great at playing the game of basketball. Nothing more nothing less.
