Mike Tomlin on facing former Steelers WR Diontae Johnson this week:

"He's not on a lot of their video. They've more significant pieces with larger roles to worry about at this point in the week."

  1. I understand the quote but don’t think he needed to add that second part. Always question when the teams I root for give their opponents more motivation.

  2. 1. Tomlin is a head coach. His top priority has always been winning and this quote aligns with that goal 100% regardless of anyone’s feelings.

    2. I’m willing to bet money that Tomlin and DJ had a perfectly fine working relationship. Remember people this isn’t rec league. This is a job. Tomlin manages a lot of people and as a leader, while he might be relatable and likable, he’s not necessarily anyone’s friend. He’s also not anyone enemy. I don’t find this quote to be malicious. Just factual.

  3. I too hate players that worked hard, got significantly better, and produced for us. Am I doing it right, yinzers

  4. dude you guys are actually hating on diontae for no fucking reason. he was a good reciever with us and especially with ben. i just dont get it downvote me all you want

  5. Raw facts, Johnson has been dressed for 2 games, irrelevant in both. He was actually doing great with dalton in Carolina.  Feels like if he doesn’t get involved more in the coming weeks he might self implode in that locker room…

  6. If Minkah gets the opportunity on DJ… he’s going to jar that ball loose. I think he may have been waiting for a minute to do it.
