I'd prefer stopping with the direct comparisons between Braun and Kcp. They are different kinds of players that bring different things to the table. This is just a different course of direction in the makeup of the team and they had faith in him filling in the hole Kcp left with the tradeoff of salaries.
Braun is better in defense and in the paint, Kcp had better mix of offensive types of shot taking and with 3's. Both can hustle.
In contrast, I still am mixed of them giving Murray max for so many years after the last playoffs. I can see both sides of the argument but they could have still kept Kcp if they didn't give Murray that level of increase.

I don't know if the guy is a monster, but the kid is really good. You could see it on the championship year. He likely wont ever be a superstar, but he is the kind of player that will contribute wherever he goes. Great player
