4. I don’t think there’s much to it other than this road trip showed how most of this team is not good. Not just as a unit, individual players who are just bad at hockey.

   Looking forward to Waddell making his mark on this team.

5. I almost regret staying up for this. Game was just like our season. High hopes from the start -> back down to earth it’s the Jackets after all.

6. We have not scored more than 2 goals in a game this month. Last time we did have more than 2 was against Edmonton on the 28th of October. Yeah this scoring drought is getting really fucking annoying especially when we have the ability to create chances and get shots usually.

7. Five goals on 130 shots across three games against sub-.500 teams on the West Coast road trip. The finishing is not there, hard to come to any other conclusion as the number one issue.

10. So I’m going to be picking my fantasy goalies based on whoever plays us next, and my fantasy forwards based on whoever’s matched up against the most overpaid PYLON in the league, Damon Severson. I wish I could personally staple him to the bench for the next 6 years, I am so sick of his crap

13. No joke, probably one of the worst if not the worst road trip I’ve seen us take.

    4 games. Anaheim and San Jose bottom feeders. Seattle, mediocre. Only good team we played was LA. Winnable games and we got one singular point. And just like that the season is essentially over. Went from starting well, hoping we can play meaningful games in March and now we’re firmly back in the tank and thinking about the draft lottery. Just like last November.

    Yeah, this probably was the expectation anyways. For us to be bad. But it still sucks absolute ass that after a great start to the season they utterly and completely imploded. I guess, better to give us a quick and painless death, than to drag this out and be mediocre until January/February? Idk.

    I said it in the game thread too but soooo many of these dudes clearly will not be around when we start to win games and I can see Waddell doing another big clear out at the deadline and next summer. Those that for sure have no future and the rest of the team save for like 5 of them are on thin ice proving themselves otherwise they’re gone too.

    Don’t know what else to say. One day, I hope I can tune into a winning hockey team. A team I can be proud of and to cheer on. And I’m hoping that day comes in the near future. Well, here’s to *hope*. The only thing CBJ fans have had for a quarter century.

14. I feel like Zach, or someone, should get an interim C for the season. There’s been way too much that has happened and that room needs a Captain right now. Not Boone stopping in on game days to give a pep talk, someone actually on the road in the trenches.
