Richard Sherman RIPS Seattle Seahawks for releasing Tyrel Dodson after letting Bobby Wagner walk

Richard Sherman reacts to the Seattle Seahawks releasing their leading tackler Tyrel Dodson coming off their bye week of the 2024 NFL season. Richard sounds off on the Seahawks for bringing in Dodson and Jerome Baker to replace Bobby Wagner, now on the Washington Commanders, only to get rid of both of them before the season was even finished.

  1. Richard. They lost money. But they didn't lose a player. These guys think that Seattle is a charitable organization. If you don't play well, they will show the door and your career is just about over because you think that this organization is a charitable organization. Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs are done in their careers. That's the bottom line.

  2. Man, fuckin preach Richard. You said it 100%. I was disappointed and scratching my head when they didnt bring him back and now I just feel justified but still disappointed.

  3. Don't mind the uneducated in the comments. There's a reason Washington has no problems in their linebacker position and we have gotten rid of both of the ones we signed.

  4. Dodson looked rough, sure he had the most tackles but he was running around like a chicken with his head cut off and I don’t think he could understand MacDonalds system tbh

  5. Bobby is a guy you want on your team for a Super Bowl run. No reality existed where the Seahawks make the Super Bowl this season. Simple, period. Let’s not forget the run defense was bad with Bobby last year too. So what does that say?

  6. It was a bad move when it happened and now its confirmed a bad move. Why the hell did they let Bobby leave again? If he was on the team today he would be our best LB out of the bunch.

  7. I wouldn't say Bobby Wagner is slow, but that he's lost a step. He's never been the best pass coverage back, but in the LOB days, there's a 70/30 chance he'd blow up a pass on zone coverage or at least get the tackle right after. Now it's 30/70 the other way. That 1 step is the difference, but make no mistake, Bobby Wagner might be the surest tackler the Seahawks have ever had.

  8. So basically, Pete should have never cut Lofa, so he could have mentored the young guys coming in. This defense has been awful since you left Richard. Bobby has been a great LB, but has not been a guy who fights through blocks to get downhill consistently. He tends to slip them. I don't believe that benefits this system. That doesn't take away from Bobby, and look how he's doing back in the system he became an all pro in.
