  1. A play that was swept under the rug at the Denver game was Butker’s screwup on the final kickoff. Perhaps Denver would’ve made it to field goal range anyway, but them starting at the 40 didn’t help. I’m calling it a one time fluke, but it’s something that can’t be repeated going forward.

  2. This SHOULD be our toughest game of the year (though the Steelers & Texans remain, and the Chargers are fiesty and division games are never easy). The nice thing is we’ve got far more to gain this week than we have to lose, and the opposite is true of the Bills.

If we lose, the Bills still need to play flawless football through the back half of their schedule while praying that we stumble. Not an ideal situation for us but not terrible, either – we still control our own destiny for the top seed.

But if we *win*, then the race for the top seed is all but over, with a 3 or 4 game lead on damned near every other team in the conference. I guess the Steelers are a threat that I shouldn’t overlook, but…after five years of seeing this exact team from Mike Tomlin I just have a hard time really believing in them.
