There is definitely an over reliance and the decision to let him kick on 4th and 4 vs the Lions was way too conservative.

MVP. MVP. MVP!!! Only guy we can truly bank on to score.
Our offense was stagnant. Our defense was Tired. Punting would have been the choice if we could make a few offensive plays.
It was a win or lose decision by coach.
When you look at the 4 teams below us, it’s not exactly a glowing endorsement of the offense if you have to kick from 50+ all the time.
I’m so depressed about that Lions game. We had it, and just fumblefucked our way into a loss. It’s not Kaimi’s fault. 58 fucking yards? And then they get the ball with 2 minutes left? How is that a winning call?
From what I’ve seen he’s just not great when it’s on the right hash. Left or center it’s going in every time
Terrible decision. Best argument I heard was Demeco just felt it was their best chance to win, even given OT. But I think everyone here would’ve preferred losing in OT to what happened.
As much as I love Imi and think he’s elite, this isn’t as positive a sign for our team as it appears.
My concern is that we’ve been carried by his leg all season and unless he gets some rest from having to kick 60 yd FGs all of the time he will be burnt out by the end of the season
Yeah Meco talked earlier in the season about trying to avoid any mistakes once they get to Fairbairn’s range, which is extremely conservative if they’re thinking his range is 50-58 yards. We have too much talent on offense to be playing for 3 points, gotta start being more aggressive when we get Nico back.
Someone take the baby blanket away from Mico
This is just another reason why people are pissed off at the offense for having to put us in these situations.
He missed a chip shot against NY so I’m not sure “reliable” is the right word here.
He’s great unless the game is on the line with seconds to spare
yeah this cool but uhhhh might not be a good thing
Proud of the player but the circumstance that put us in a position to celebrate this stat is an impotent offense.
