Bengals offense is incredibly strong, we’ve seen how they’ve performed the past few games. Our defense needs to be on point and hold them. Especially on the passing game.
Their defense is trash however lol. Burrow and the bengals would’ve have a better W/L record if their defense did their job.

We’re winning this 31-14. This will make analysts push the Chargers to the top 5 in rankings and Herbert in the MVP conversation.
This is the game where I’ll start to believe if we win. Our schedule has been among the easiest in the league and by far the easiest for a team with an established QB.
We have only beat bottom of the barrel teams and even lost to the cardinals.
This game is such an interesting one. If we beat them the goalposts will move of course, since they’ll be well below. 500 the win will be discounted. But this is a team is coming off extra rest playing in what is essentially their super bowl. Everything is set up for them to win, and if they do then the chargers will be called frauds.
I think if we win this game people will start taking us seriously
This is feeling like the 2022 Miami game when everyone doubted us. I like it.
It all honesty, its very hard to win 4 in a row. I know its going to be a nail biter. Bengals are trying to salvage their season – that’s a dangerous team. They also have two Steelers games coming up, so they need to beat us or they can’t drop a Steelers game.
Honestly if we blanket Chase, and get after burrow, it’s ours for the taking.
J Chase concerns me. Ridley beat our defense twice and both guys he beat were starters. Yes I know the 2nd time was garbage time but still our guy got beat. I’m worried our rookie corners are not gonna hold up against a true #1 wr and top QB pair.
A few things at play here: The Chargers have played a lot of bad teams so far this season and the few good teams they have played, they lost. I get the skepticism. They are unquestionably better than last year since they have beaten up on those bad teams and were without most of their best players in those losses. But still, I get it if talking heads wanna ding them for that
The other is that the Bengals and Joe Burrow get the benefit of the doubt– unfairly so in my opinion; Burrow has looked awful in several games this year and is still feasting off that Super Bowl run four years ago.
But this is a big “Fuck it, we ball” vibe for me going into this stretch. It’s time to really find out what this team is made of in year one.
This game really will tell us what this team is made of. If we are making a splash in the playoffs we take care of business here.
I will never understand your guy’s fascination with random journalists game picks
It is fair to say that the Bengals offense is the best the Chargers will see so far this season. They are desperate too so I can see why people are basically thinking “The Bengals will just have too much offense for the Chargers to keep up”.
HOWEVER the Bengals have been desperate all season and that hasn’t stopped them from dropping 6 games. Their wins are against the Giants, Browns, Raiders and Panthers with the Giants holding them to 17 points. I feel like the picks should at least be closer to 50/50.
My own bias is that the Chargers are a much more balanced team with the Chargers offense seeing improvement over the last 3 weeks and they are at home so the Chargers should be favored by at least a little. Also better coaching.
27-17 Chargers get 6 sacks and a couple ints as the bengals can’t run the ball and Burrow has to drop back 57 times. Bengals defense can’t keep us off the field and our defense gets plenty of rest.
