Texas Rangers’ Josh Smith wins first career Silver Slugger award after breakout offensive season

The Texas Rangers offense struggled for the most part in 2024, but Josh Smith was the exception to the trend of down years for hitters. Smith carried the Rangers’ lineup in the first half of the season and was snubbed of a deserved All-Star selection.

Smith won the utility Silver Slugger over Willi Castro and Jordan Westburg.
