the mets should go as far as they want too to bring in this generational talent but Stearns may want a different approach. he may want to spread the money around and build both short and long term but we'll see.
NO WAY! If you were one player away from getting to the World Series, then that would be one thing, but they need three starters, they need to revamp the bullpen, and who will play first or CF. Soto had a career year with the Yankees. Throughout his career, he has averaged 30-35 homers. You don't back up the Brinks truck for those numbers.
Build up you starting pitching and bullpen, bring back Winker and Sign Alonso. Next year go after Kyle Tucker from the Astros. He's almost as good as Soto, and you can get him for fewer years and money.
Get 2 pitchers and back the truck up!💪💪💪
The Mets should go up to $750 million for Soto.
Mets are keeping him. Mark my words
seinfeld with as bad a take as his lame as tv show
They said Lindor is meeting with Soto to try and sign with the Mets. The thing is Lindor is a better player than Juan Soto, saw their statistics and are similar in hitting, but Lindor is a better baserunner and better in defense, but Lindor is making under $300 milion while Soto want's over $600 million with no speed or defense.
Juan Soto is the most overrated player, guy want's $600 million with no defense or speed, has no range in the outfield and a terrible baserunner. If Im an owner I'll go after an Ace pitcher Roki Sasaki for a couple of million dollars that can win 20 games and Roki is younger than Soto.
They shoulda learned their lesson with Verlander & Scherzer. Moneyball it!!!! We need pitching
He’s no where near Ohtani and Ohtani I don’t believe should’ve gotten 700 mil…with his average defense I wouldn’t go past 620 mil for 12 years and that’s too much
C" mon Guys" , Soto is Not that player, He won in Washington cause The Astros didnt play well, Then he went to San Diego ,had the Real Squuuaaaad and Nothing" then a WS with the Yankees and once again Nothing!! He Reminds Me of Manny Machado with the Dodgers "Trash" ,, if the Mets wants to Win and save money for the years coming on…its easy" , first ,lets Sign Enrique Kike Hernandez for 3 years $24 millions, then Lets Trade Mauricio and Acuña Jr to the Minnesota Twins for Carlos Correa 3B , move Vientos to 1B , and If Pete Alonso Really wants to play with the Mets (DH), Give Him 4 Years / $88 Millions, and Bring Martin Maldonado with a 2 Years / $12 Millions Contract , and Lets the "Show Begin!!! 🔥 WS Championship 2025 & 2026 !! Like it or Not , LFGM !!!
Uh….. they said the same thing about Mike Trout being a sure investment. Now the Angels franchise is effectively deceased.
Met fans truly love misery. Jerry just jinxed them
600 mil and 1% stock in club. Something different than all clubs. Have some top restaurants chip in food for life. Deal done ha
Honestly we can keep pete for 7 mil raise a year. Resign manea. Get 2 top starters, 2 top relievers. Add Santander and profar bat all for soto money. That makes more sense to me.
Soto to Mets….. 10 years for $420m
