He was cheaper than Garza who we never play anyway. Why the hell did we trade him?
Slow Mo was the only guy on the team who would bluntly and harshly call out Ant when he was on his bullshit. I’m guessing that mentality went for calling out the whole team when they needed it.
Right now it’s like they have just slipped into all of their worst tendencies from last season and there’s nobody who is able to pull them out of it. Having a no bullshit veteran on the team like that is huge for a team that has this many young guys who can seemingly so easily come unglued, even Pat Bev was huge in that way in 2021-22.
Ant has the competitive fire covered, but I don’t know if he truly knows how to pull himself out of a hole. My confidence that Randle will be a positive in down times is pretty minimal. I like the spirit of guys like NAW and Rudy. Naz and Jaden seem to have a mental weakness when things aren’t going so well. DDV seems like a guy who has the correct mindset. I don’t really see what the heart of this team is yet.
