[Schneier] Joe Burrow is the best deep ball passer in the NFL.
What he lacks in velocity, he makes up for in anticipation, ball placement & touch. Watch his FEET. The footwork is impeccable. Repeatable.
A true joy to watch. 6.5 minutes of dimes, no filler

  1. We are wasting a truly special year from Joe. The fanbase needs to demand better from the teams leadership or we are doomed to repeat the Carson Palmer fiasco

  2. He’s getting smoked on like 75% of these throws once he releases it.

What I wouldn’t do to just have a halfway competent OL. He’d be even more unstopable.

  3. We need another offseason like 2020. We were able to overhaul a bad defense and terrible offensive line and got them up to NFL standards with key free agents.

You can see that Cappa and Karras, two big parts of that FA rebuild, just don’t look good. The fact that Joe can make these throws with that kind of pressure up the middle is remarkable.

I was happy to see them spend in FA for the first time. Now they need to take the next step and realize when they need to start over and retool.

  4. He is the best in the league. Jamarr is the best WR. This is the opportunity of a generation for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Turn it around. Invest in the team. Hire scouts. Build a culture. Hold people accountable. I KNOW this stuff will pay off. Joe and Ja’marr are so amazing, they don’t need much–just be an average franchise! People want to see a winner, and this city will be so grateful. People across this country and the world love our stars and they’ll happily jump on board as fans if we show the ability to field a competent team and win. I will never say another bad thing about the browns or the blackburns if they show even a little willingness to try and turn this mom and pop shop into a real franchise while they have the chance to compete with this special, special talent.

  5. With game tied and 9:30 to go in the Ravens game. The Bengals had the ball 3rd and 2. Burrow threw deep balls on two consecutive plays that were incomplete, and the Bengals turned the ball over to the Ravens in good field position. The Ravens quickly took a 7 point lead.

So even “the best deep ball passer” is going to miss a lot of throws. Leave it to Zac Taylor to think that calling two low percentage plays at a critical time was a “good idea”.
