  1. When/how?! I don’t remember seeing anything happen during the Dallas game. Did I miss something??

  2. This is why being a deep team will only help us this year. We can get through guys missing time.

Sprained ACL sounds like a multi-week injury tho

  3. Sprain means a tear, but I know even partial acl tears are season enders. Hopefully that’s not the case and he’s back in a few weeks

  4. Damm. Just when the starting 5 was settled this happens. Melton just can’t stay healthy for any decent stretch of games.

  5. That steph, Melton, wiggins, kuminga, dray line up was one of out best too, against OKC without chet.

  6. Huge blow, especially since he was just starting to ball out. Think Kerr could go back to Moody or even slot in Buddy. I doubt we go back to Kuminga in the starting lineup.

Glad this is just a sprain though and not a tear.

  7. I think this is an expected injury that happens during plat. Thankfully it is in our most overloaded position, big guard.

I hope it is week to week and he will be back this year.

  8. Hoping it’s just a grade 1.

I see these in clinic all the time, 2-4 week recovery as long as there are no contraindications.

  9. WTF…..how….we didn’t even see him hurt. I feel like after every game a new random injury pops up. This one hurts. He was playing so well

  10. He was playing good too.

He was always a risky play, health-wise, we knew that.

Send him to Germany for some of that blood platelet therapy and hopefully he heals up quickly.

  11. damn he’s been playing so well, being deep is soooo important for the regular season. We have several options at 2, I’m not even sure which is best. Maybe Moody but GP2 against teams with quicker guards?

  12. While this is absolutely brutal, having watched him play several full games at this point it’s abundantly obvious the ways in which he consistently asks his body for more than it’s probably capable of. lol. Dude goes insanely hard. Stretching a mile some rebounds / catches that have me clutching my own back in pain, always pedal to the metal, etc. Think the end result here is obviously “how do we show up to the playoffs with this guy healthy?”

But it’s still a major bummer, that starting unit + closing unit was the first time in a while that I felt like the rotation was starting to solidify.

  13. Wishing Melton a speedy recovery. Sucks it had to open this early in season when we finally set on starting 5. Hopefully our deep bench comes in handy for replacements.

  14. Damn he was so good vs kyrie too. If he’s not around for playoffs we will have a much harder time.

  15. Oh crap – maan, just when he was starting to make a positive impact to our starting line up – Heal up and Rest up !!! SA folks saying, good thing we are a deap team!

  16. Sucks to lose him but with Hield, Moody, Podz, GP2 we should have enough coverage. Strength in numbers is back.

  17. Oh well. At least it’s a sprain and not a tear.

Advantage of being a deep team this year is that we more than have the depth to make up for it. Rest up Melton!

  18. Quickly became one of my favorite acquisitions from the last few off seasons. Really rooting for him. Hope he recovers quickly and can get back in the starting lineup. Moody, time to step it up big dog
