The best part of this version of Chevy is that he has been more honest about his team. He's literally stated that the Jets have had some luck in games and didn't deserve to win the COL game. Less politician and realistic GM is a good thing.
Chevy has the toughest GM job in the NHL. He has made some great moves and tried some bold moves when the time was right. There is a reason he's been there for 14 years. The Jets want to be the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NHL. Stable, competitive, consistently good. The only thing missing is a Cup win.
The man found the cheat code for managing a team everyone has on their no-trade list: he doesn't want you. He only wants guys who want to be in Winnipeg. The result is a terrific culture.
Chevy, itβs okay to say βNik Ehlersβ out loud.
Chevy now we need sell outs at home ,thanks chevy it's your team and thank you for 4 lines and they are all π, go jets goπ
winnipeg the land that time forgot. hahahaha!
Fabulous interview by Frank with Chevy… and massive props to Chevy for his transparency in what he said. I have to say that our boys who we've seen from when they were just coming into the NHL have metamorphasized into a mature group of gentlemen who play for each other… they have team 1st mentality every game.
Keep it up, Jets boys!! Standing behind you all the way!!
lol this video is 3 hrs old and it's already out of date. 0:00 15-1
What a fabulous interview. Props man!! You have uncovered a lot of the depth and heart of this team. Its complex. Its driven by need to win. Its supported by die-hard fans. The city and fans are no dummies, and they see through BS. Having the ownership and management we have is so key. My heart literally bursts watching this and thinking back to a time we didnt have a team. Or just the fact we drafted such amazing plsyers and that they are still here. Someone please write the movie script now!.
great interview. really enjoyed it. kevin is a great guy to hear from. interesting and honest.
as a tampa guy it's nice to learn about other teams that are making things happen.
WPG is the real deal and they def deserve to have the proper respect put on their name.
Chevy with the veiled shot at Rutger around the 23 minute mark.
