  1. $15.5M guaranteed is an absolute fleece job from the 49ers to his agent lol. I wonder how much he would get if he was a FA? Way more than that right?

  2. Knowing that the front office is learning from their mistakes is comforting. Good to see everyone win with this signing.

  3. Dude is playing at an All-Pro level, and just signed a 5 year deal for $15M guaranteed?!?

    God DAYUM!

  4. While he probably could’ve gotten more on the open market, I think that it’s still a fairish deal for all parties.

    – Lenoir is going to keep on getting paid as long as his play doesn’t fall off a cliff (resulting in severing ties).

    – And he’s protected himself with injury guarantees so that he’ll be made more than whole if injuries take him off the board.

  5. I’m interested in the cal number for the next few years. Interesting to see how they are going to handle Purdy’s resigning. Front loaded or back loaded. They do a great job of managing the cap. So I’m sure they have a plan.

  6. Dumb question, what are injury guarantees? Is that money that he only makes if he gets injured?

  7. Gotta say it’s nice to see both sides coming together. DeMo betting on himself, balling out, and taking a sweetheart hometown deal. The 49ers giving him every chance to prove he can be great, coaching him to be one of the best in the league, and paying him a fair amount. Both sides showed a lot of respect for each other’s priorities here. 99% of the time, I’m totally about players getting their bag. That 1% is when both sides come to a fair deal for the player while giving the team enough wiggle room to supply a stacked locker room.
