Oilers forward Connor McDavid puts home the feed from Leon Draisaitl, getting Edmonton on the board and recording his 1000th career point. McDavid is the 99th player to hit 1000 points and becomes the 4th fastest to do so.

you'll never see a player as good as mcdavid again. the sticks and equipment cant really evolve more so we are watching the best hockey player that will ever play.

It would have been unrealistic to expect him to beat Gretzky and Lemieux’s marks but he beat everyone else but Bossy… and only missed Bossy’s mark by 3 games despite the fact that for much of McDavid’s career until the last few years, 100 pt seasons were quite rare, Bossy played in an era where they were very common!
This is an age of point production. McDavid is insane though, holy f doing it in this day is crazy.
