Needed it. Didnt matter how, but we needed the W. That said, we need to make sure we tighten things up on Special Teams the rest of the way. The guys can do it, and its up to them to make the improvements, make the adjustments, and then take that all the way to the 2nd week of February. LETS GO!!! NIIIIIINEEEERRRSSSSSS

Had the pleasure of watching Purdy for four years at Iowa State from nine rows behind the bench. His success in the NFL is no surprise to the Cyclone faithful. He is even a better person than football player. He will have a few wtf moments but he bounces back quickly and decisively. The Niners rang the bell in the 7th round with Mr Relevant, and yes, that is a Captain Obvious statement.

I have to say it…I absolutely HATE seeing Deebo back returning kicks and punts. Not that he isn’t good at it, but because it’s a huuuuuge injury risk given how he plays. And for whatever reason, this team goes as Deebo goes. We’ve seen the loaded lineups minus just Deebo lose more than a few games. Or if they win, they scrape out a last second FG win because of no offense. And it’s been that way since he arrived. It’s one reason the team paid him. While his numbers are down this season, he’s still the soul of the team. And the numbers can be down, as long as when the team really needs him, he makes a “Deebo Play”…like the catch and run for a TD the Rams when Jimmy G was still at QB…and you the reader most likely know which one I’m talking about…which proves my point.
