  1. Guerrero Junior was a rich kid living in the Dominican Republic when he was a kid so was his best friend how many times do you think he paid for that guy he owes him?

  3. He will be the biggest thing in Canada. He will generate money. Do you guys look outside the box a little bit and realize in New York he’s the fifth biggest star in number one.

  4. I’m not listening to any reports from anyone. If he signs great if not we move on. I can’t go down this road again. Best advice I can give any jays fans. Don’t count on Soto coming here.

  5. I predict he will go to the Mets, the dodgers don't seem all in on Soto as they got Ohtani and want Sasaki. The Yankees in fact wanted to reduce budget according to their owner. The Mets are the only team where the owner is willing to completely ignore a budget and make it happen.

  6. I think we need good pitching first, spend your money wisely. You can’t put all your eggs in one basket. One player doesn’t win for the team. It takes the whole team to win.

  7. Its not happening – as a Jays fan in his mid 40's, I've seen this happen, many times, and not just with Ohtani. In MLB the agents use Toronto as a trampoline to rocket the desire that rockets the cost. Very rarely do the Jays end up with top 10 MLB talent in free agency. Last one that comes to mind is Clemons. I mean Springer wasn't a top 10 player when signed. Problem is..
..this regime doesn't know how to build a winner, and only see's talent in big FA's (like fans do – and not great sports mins) or rolling the dice on some guy who had one flash year. There are many ways to build a winning team, and Shapiro and all his "portage's" have never won a thing!

  8. This team needs a bat (not just a DH) they get as a FA. They need a scrapy lead off hitter to bat in front of Bo, Vlad, New stick, that they can trade for, while Clements is fine at 3, his defense is close to Chapman's with a better stick and more heart. Then, TONS of pitching,- they have good enough positional players and depth to healthily support a dynamic pitching core. That's how this teams wins!
    1. Lead off
    2. Bo.
    3. Vlad.
    4. New stick
    5. Horwitz
..do what you may after that.
Can't try and Toronto Maple Leafs this thing, and demand signing all-stars at every position, and mutli in-season trades as the key to winning. Talent is NOT heart, desire, little things that makes winners winners – ask Autisim Mathews and that heartless loserr Tavs.

  9. What if they put the Otani money aside after not getting him to go after Soto AND extend Vladdy? Remember Ramerez and Big Papi terrorizing the Jays for a decade every game we played Boston? This is going to happen. You don't redo the stadium to rebuild now. Maybe Ross and Mark are smarter than we thought? 🤨

  10. This is so tiring. He's not signing here. And honestly dumping that much money into one player is pretty stupid. Especially when the Jays need starting pitching, relief pitching and a few more hitters. They can accomplish all of this for less than
Soto will cost. Man, I miss Anthopoulos.

  11. The thing is how much are the Blue Jays willing to spend over the luxury tax ,if you get this guy you’ll have to sign Vlad you have to get a star pitcher I mean the money that’s gonna be spent. You’re gonna have to spend it and believe you me the Blue Jays have the money, and you know the fans are going to get hit with some of that so the fans willing to pay more higher prices for concessions and ticket prices?? Myself absolutely if it means multiple playoff runs deep runs, and maybe slip in a World Series or 3 for sure

  12. No matter how many rumors are circulated by all grades of pundits, I think it is hilarious that 1) these pundits actually think the Jays had a chance to get Ohtani last season, and 2) the same pundits think the Jays have a chance to sign Soto. Rogers accepted Ohtani’s offer of $700 million because Rogers knew that could make all that back and then some on marketing, ticket sales, concessions, post season revenue, broadcast rights, etc. Although Soto is a really good baseball player, he doesn’t come with the financial upsides of Ohtani. Rogers would be stupid to pay what Soto is asking or get into a bidding war with the New York teams. Besides, with Canadian taxes, the Jays would have to pay more than the US teams. Keep waiting for that plane land. 😂

  13. Getting soto is great but we also need to upgrade the bullpen, if they bring in only soto i dont think that will make them a true contender, need soto Santander and some pitching

  14. Rather sogn Vlad long term get another couple bats and a good pitcher. Now, if the Jays can drive up the price so that the team that sign him has to drop players . Would rather have 4 good bats and Guerrero long term.

  15. They’ll say they tried and go with a bunch of low cost/high potential options that don’t pan out and they end up trading away at the deadline.
