  3. My wife’s favorite player is Nuke. We met him in Lexus Lounge once post-game, got the photo and signature, cool dude for the little bit we could talk/understand.

    I have this damn belt from the ’22 cup.

    I just bet my wife if he scores a goal tonight I have to recreate this photo.

    Trying to break the addiction process is brutal, and there will be bumps in the road. You cannot have rainbows and sunshine without rain and you just need to take it day by day.

    I hope he’s in a better place now and is able to live a healthy life off the ice which will then help him on the ice.

    End of the day this is just a game and the off ice stuff needs to be a priority.

  7. If he’s able to stay off whichever drug he was having an issue with he flat out makes the team better no doubt. Now idk if we can go into the playoffs without a backup plan this year though.

  17. Super glad he’s back, genuinely hope he’s turned the page and got healthy. Absolutely no faith in the man at this point. Any games we get from him are great

  24. Cautious optimism seems apropos for this situation. If he truly has turned it around, all the better and here’s to better days moving forward. I know most won’t agree, but I’m still thinking this is a pretty zero-tolerance type of situation. Big Val puts one big toe outta line here, I think the team needs to respond accordingly and swiftly. Here’s to that not coming to pass.

  29. I’m a salty asshole so… Totally expect the Russian to fuck us again, really should have kept Kadri. 

  33. I prefer he was off the team, but he’s not. So while I won’t cheer for him specifically, I hope he does well and the team benefits. Like him or not, when he’s playing, his contribution to the team is massive.

  34. Feel like the Avs are a glutton for punishment. I’m all for redemption and such. But back to back playoffs ruined with this man’s help. Shall we make it three?

  35. I just hope he is able to kick his addiction. I know a couple of addicts and that shits terrible. It really is a disease and it can be heartbreaking and it’s a hell of a tough road to sobriety. I wish him nothing but success both on and off the ice.

  37. So it’s a really no lose situation. He’s back and they just are better with him. He’s a top 15 player in the league.

    If he doesn’t and gets put back in the player assistant program. Then he’s out of the league and they get the cap $ back to use somewhere else.

    Win win! Let’s go and hope he gets 50 points this year.
