Okay so we have huge contracts expiring at the end of this year, a centerpiece that will be older than ever and still expensive if we choose to get him back, with Tyler is balling out on a manageable contract. Tyler is never going to be a franchise player. He doesn’t show up in the Playoffs. He’s a nice compliment, and that’s fine. Not a knock against him, it’s just what he is. But teams like that shit. We would be stupid not to trade him for something better this offseason if we’re actually trying to be contenders again instead of just an irritating stepping stone for other teams on the way to a championship.
