ahem So Czech Extraliga is a pretty good time. Yes, football chants are silly, but the crowd was lit the hell up and having an absolute blast…and rightly so, HC Sparta Prague took down the #1 team Pardubice Dynamo 8-1!
Got a few people asking who 'Demko' was (if only I had a Hronek jersey!). Only other visible NHL extradite I saw was some tool in an Oilers jersey…might have shouted something at him that rhymes with 'Bic-Shave-It's a Witch'.
Anyway, if you ever find yourself in Europe for any reason, highly recommend checking out the local hockey leagues…or take a domestic flight over, that and a ticket will STILL be cheaper than a Canucks game. Fuck Messier, Coconuts Glow, and have a good weekend back home!
P.S. Pour one out for our favourite living fossil Jagr, Kladno got smoked 4-1 by Liberec today. Sad old penguin noises.
