  1. I usually think Drance is more on the critical side of the Canucks, but this time, he seems to give the team more of a pass than they deserve – 3:7 to the Oilers (and that game was more lopsided than the score), 0:6 to the Devils, and 2:5 to the Islanders should not constitute to one-offs anymore. What I am concerned with is that the intangibles from this team seems to be missing this year. Last year, on the rare occasions that the team is down, there is always someone who would step up, deliver a big hit, score a momentum-changing goal, make a jaw-dropping save, etc. This year, when the team is down, they just continue to sink and have no response, no push back. That is very concerning if you are a Canuck fan…

  2. At this point in the season Canucks rhymes with "sucks" and the fans are starting to get very unhappy. Last night was a C game effort, and when Tyler Myers gets only the second goal —- while the 5th highest paid player in the NHL Elias Petterson continues to be a huge disappointment — things are real bad. Rick Tocchett actually apologized and said he was outcoached by Patrick Roy. If that's the case, then maybe that's an admission that Tocchett can't motivate this team and they need a new coach.

  3. I like you both, Donnie and Dhali but with all due respect — your guests like Thomas Drance always downplay the Canucks situation because otherwise he will get blacklisted by the team. Not once did he say the name "Petterson" and get into a critical discussion of how bad this guy's stats are, and why his huge contract making him the 5th highest paid player in the NHL was a big mistake. He should be scoring goals and making assists and be in the Top 50 right now, but he's way down at #172 on the NHL Skaters Stats list. This is unacceptable and I don't see him getting much better, which seriously hurts the team.

  4. This d-core without Hughes there would be one of if not the absolute worst in the league. The defense should be an absolute priority for upgrading if we want any chance in the playoffs.

  5. i'm so sick of watching the inconsistency of this mentally weak team…..been watching them since 1977, and i can't remember such a pathetic effort EVER. this team has a serious attitude problem … and for the love of God dump Myers…he is so toxic for this team.
if you just count how many times the puck goes from Myers stick to the opponents..it will SHOCK you

  6. Well now what a supreme let down that game was.truly amateurish.I was at the very first game that the Canucks played at home in the NHL.I’m 71 now and I have never switched off the tv more than I have this year.🤮I am resigned to the fact that we will NEVER see a Stanley cup in Vancouver.🤮one of my favourite players is Garland but he’s hanging on to the puck too much for too long and not getting in front enough.PASS THE PUCK FOR JESUS SAKE.one of my least favourite players is the skinny guy wearing number 40.who is that guy?😂😂he’s invisible out there

  7. You're going to have ups and downs, both in season and between seasons. Last year, they were dynamite at home. This year, they're great on the road so far. I agree with Thomas that they're probably better offensively this year, but they had a lot of puck luck in the first half of last season. I'm more concerned about their back end.
