Keep seeing Celtics fans use the schedule to discredit the Cavs start but the Cavs,Hawks,Hornets and CELTICS! have basically had the same strength of schedule so far this season. Only one is 14-0

  1. We could argue and make cases all day but really the best solution is Cavs need to beat Boston November 19th.

  2. If you look at the site after the most-recent games have been added, Cleveland actually has had a more difficult SOS than Boston so far (in addition to playing more games than them).

Also, you can only play the teams in front of you. This doesn’t happen all the time like you’d expect if it were *just* SOS: good teams lose to bad teams All. The. Time.

The only reason they are trying to discredit it is because they are jealous.

  3. I always look at Basketball reference’s SRS (simple rating system).

It looks at wins, strength of schedule and margin of victory and has us 3rd, behind OKC and GSW.

  4. I’m sorry- I just don’t understand why we care. Plus- the ones who talk ish represent 1% of the population. They are called trolls for a reason. Quit giving them validity.

  5. You’re bound to have an easier strength of schedule when you don’t have to play the 14-0 Cleveland Cavaliers!!!

  6. With Paulo hurt, the only truly strong teams in the East so far are us and Boston, it’s not our fault everyone else in our conference that was supposed to be good is playing mediocre to bad through the first 15 games

  7. My Father-in-Law is a diehard Celtics fan. He constantly expects me to give them props when they play well – constantly texted me after they won the Championship last year and throughout the preseason going on and on about how good they were going to be again. He knows I’m a diehard Cavs fan and there hasn’t been a peep from him about this historic start for my team. Typical Boston sports fan hypocrisy.

  8. Sos hasn’t been difficult but they aren’t winning close games, they’re killing these teams. Thats what great teams do.

  9. Don’t even listen to those losers. The Celtics 10 wins are all against teams below .500

  10. Forget about SOS for a second. The Magic, Pistons, and Cavs are the only teams in the NBA who have played 14 games so far. 5 teams have only played 11! And the Cavs didn’t even play on opening day. The Lakers did and have only played 12.

It is impressive going 14-0 on the least amount of rest between games compared to any other team in the entire NBA.

  11. Plus Cavs is probably considered weaker because of all the Bulls games, even though they are probably a playoff team this season.

  12. It’s called copium. They thought they’d sleepwalk their way to another title. Let’s just let our play do the talking
