  2. My man Tanev 4 game goal streak letโ€™s go

Edit: I prematurely said Tanev got a goal it was an assist but 4 game point streak baby Iโ€™m leaving streaks

  3. Ladies and gentlemen it is with great pleasure I inform you the Kraken finally won a game I attended

  4. that premature smoke cannon on yanniโ€™s almost empty netter bringing back some embarrassing high school memories for me

  5. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ–๏ธ-๐Ÿฆ‘๐Ÿฆ‘๐Ÿฆ‘ shoutout to the chaos line for chaos line things!

  6. Notes and thoughts!

    * I said pregame this was a big opportunity against a team that’s playing well, and the kraken showed up. It was a close game but they played a complete 60 minute effort. Though I think both teams were a bit slow early in the 1st but that’s an afternoon game for ya.
    * The Burakovsky experiment on the Beneirs line had mixed results. I thought there were some shifts there they looked totally out of sync and others where they dominated the Isles in their zone. I think there is some potential there so Bylsma probably keeps them together if Eberle stays out.
    * Overall the Beneirs and Gourde lines looked by far the best. I thought the Stephenson and Wright lines were okay but didn’t have any standout offensive moments I could remember.
    * Another solid performance in net by Daccord. He’s got to have secured the starter role at this point
    * Ryker Evans had two shorthanded rush chances against him tonight. I don’t think the 2nd was his fault but it didn’t look like he hustled back enough on the 1st one that resulted in the Islanders shortie. that’s an area for him to work on
    * I thought Tanev touched that 3rd goal right before the puck went in, but it doesn’t really matter. He’s lucky there wasn’t enough contact for the Interference call. Gotta be careful in the blue paint!

  7. We have the best 4th line in the league and the last time we had that we lost the conference semis after taking it 7 games.

  8. I know itโ€™s early but Tanev has been the clear team MVP so far. He has not had an off shift

  9. A part of me was worried that we might go into OT like we did last year on this date

Will never forget the round 9 shootout win for the kraken

  10. If you don’t like shorty breakaways and clanking empty netters in a dub, you don’t like Kraken hockey — LFGOOOOO

  11. How did you all think Sprong did? Stats didn’t look great, he looked pretty lost out there but also it’s his first game back so maybe shouldn’t be expecting too much.

  12. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ll still be in the hospital for tomorrowโ€™s game, but what a good run we have had!

Briarโ€™s first game was a Kraken win!!! LGK!!!!

  13. I’m sorry to keep harping on this, but Wright finished with 8:34 TOI, last by a full 2 minutes. This can’t be the plan for his development. His line got caved in, to the extent they were on the ice, but he’s being stuck with the dregs and being played 2 minutes less than the guys he’s stuck with.

Did his line need to sit to win the game? Maybe. I’m open to that. But this can’t be the development plan for him. I understand the importance of winning this year, but we also need to develop the most important player in our pipeline. There are options. Move him to wing, send him down to CV, stick him with real players again. But something’s gotta give.

  14. So I haven’t watched the games but curious how Beniers and Wright are playing. Is Wright doing that poorly or is he playing a shutdown role or something?

I have been loosely following your team since the expansion and thought these two would make an impact on your team but I see Beniers had a pretty big slump last year compared to the previous year and is having similar stats this year, and Wright has not shown much in terms of stats.

Beniers I’m not too worried as second year slumps are fairly normal even for players that end up great but for Wright that is surprising at least for me.

  15. Our puck handling needs to improve – missed a bunch of opportunities due to mishandling passes, and relied on luck after giving the puck away a bunch of times.
