Should the Colts keep Chris Ballard and Shane Steichen?

Let’s finish the year before we get rash…
No.

Jim hasn’t been able to get anyone of the staff to fully buy into the winning culture he wants. Ballard just stays with “we like our guys” and goes to another year of 8-9. Something has to change
Honestly I’d prefer some consistency and I like Steichen, so I’d be ok with it.
Ballard should’ve already been gone

Ballard has done nothing in eight years to justify keeping his job – countless QBs, losing record, no division titles (in a weak division), avoids free agency, hasn’t drafted a pro bowl-level player in years. As for Steichen, occasionally he seems like a good coach. Not great, but good. Unfortunately, being “good”… “occasionally” doesn’t win titles. It just doesn’t.
Steichen should stay. Ballard…don’t think so
Give steichan more time this seasons not over, and last season was a decent season all things considered, but get Ballard’s useless ass out of this organization he has made so many horrible decisions for this organization
You can’t keep one and not the other. If AR looks good and we make or almost make the playoffs, I think you gotta give them one more year. If we are a train wreck the rest of the season then fire everyone.
Almost certainly not unless we make a big run to end the year and at least do something in the playoffs
Ballard should have been gone already. Steichen hasn’t had a QB yet and deserves the opportunity to have one before we judge him. Considering what he’s done without a QB I’d like to see him stay.
Ballard, FUCK no.
Steichen, I’m good with him.
Chris Ballard should have been fired the season after Carson Wentz and I’ll take that argument any day.
Long time ballard truther…but after this fiasco? No
Steichen stays.
I really like Ballard personally, but it’s time to move on.
No and Yes
No clean house, roster included
No. Clean house!
Ballard should have been gone at least one year ago. The new GM should pick a head coach.

We need Irsay to step down and a new GM and coaching staff going into AR’s 3rd year. I think the kid can play, and our team isn’t shit, but we are broken up at the top. I don’t hate Steichen, but he’s clearly struggling. Unfortunately for him, our biggest need is for his boss to go, and that means he goes too.
Got to keep both or fire both band I am leaning towards keeping both as the team is well built (there is not one position group that is a liability or deep so they were justified in retaining our own free agents) and if they believe in AR, the cap space is there next year to take a couple of big swings.
This sub is so toxic and all over the place. The hate Ballard train is at full speed. I defend Ballard on occasion. The people that hate him do so without saying why (usually). We haven’t won the division in x amount of years is the best argument I’ve heard, but there isn’t much I’ve seen on this sub other than that. Everyone else just has pitchforks for reasons I guess.
I know this will be hugely downvoted, but I’m just curious actual decisions he’s made that made people hate him. He drafts decently well. He rewards his own. The worst thing that happened was Luck randomly retiring, which was really a Grigson era problem by not having a line to protect him. He came here thinking he had a franchise QB, and he got burned. Sure, he hasn’t made the flashy free agency signings that people want, but I think we will see it IF Richardson works out. If you push your chips in like the Titans with Levis… we see what happens. If you push them in like the Texans with Stroud, we’ve still seen there is still no guarantee it really improves your team. I just don’t know what people/fans want. (Most answer “not this”) without saying who they would hire or exactly how they would do things different. Let the downvotes rain down. I’m ready for it.

Who will save all the cap space then?
I want Ballard and Gus gone.
No
Ballard needs to go, and for anyone saying can Ballard keep Steichen, I don’t think Steichen is irreplaceable. I like him, and I think he could work out as a head coach but if you fire Ballard you’ve gotta clean house start all the way over
Ballard should (and should have) be gone. I think it’s still too early to tell on Steichen.
Shane yes, Ballard no…
but that would subsequently get Shane fired so get rid of both of them
Ballard’s time has passed.
Ballard, no. Let the new GM decide on Shane.
Ballard is cooked. Has been cooked since the Wentz fiasco.

Time for Ballard to go. His history speaks for itself. Stephen deserves more time and a new regime to build with
