I can handle a loss. I can handle a blowout loss. Normally, I wouldn’t get too annoyed. What gets me is the conga line of missed shots in the second half. Like seriously? How is this even possible?
Wesley really needs a shot if he wants to stay on the team. Makes me sad, his defense is good.
Always gonna be a bad result when Zach Collins has the best performance for your team
Slowly rolls up ‘Castle Coming Out Party’ banner and returns it to the closet.
Other topics to note.
– Champagnie is hot and cold but he’s unfortunately the only other shooter outside of Vassell in the team. He needs to become more consistent. Maybe they need to play Malaki more?
– Paul looked like his passes weren’t hitting the mark tonight. I’ve noticed it a few times in previous games but it was more apparent tonight.
– Collins, *heavy sigh,* it’s reached that point where I only hope we don’t have to trade an extra pick to get off his contract.
– Wesley didn’t look terrible, but players like him, Tre and Keldon need to learn to not give up the lead when they come in. Same as last night.
– As always, this is a development season. It’s good for the team to see who can step up when called upon. Tonight, no one really did.
On to OKC. gsg
If you watched this game you a real one
Keldon being the longest tenured vet on this team played like shit. So fucking disappointed in his play this year and last year.
Even worse is his bbiq which consistently involves driving into the paint like he’s lebron or forgetting his rotations
just copying & pasting something i said on the live game thread:
if were done with tanking and actually trying to compete every year from now on, this game shows more than ever that a serious back up center is the #1 priority. either trade for one by the deadline, sign one in the offseason, or draft the best one available (khaman maluach, rocco zikarsky or ryan kalkbrennner, please). until that’s done, this team is just not a serious team
Missing our arguably best 3 players it was a pretty good first half. Let’s forget the 2nd one and onto the next… GSG
I think letting go of Brandon Boston Jr. was a mistake.
Mavs interviewer: WhAt dId yOu GuYs do DiFfeRenTlY iN tHiS wIn? 🤪
Did she see who they played tonight? Lmao dumbass question
On track for 74-8
Health is wealth, hope team gets all rested up for Tuesday against Thunder. Important for the rest of the team to get those reps in.
Go Spurs Go!
If I have one good thing to say… we did really good on making free throws.
Like I said earlier, this loss doesn’t hurt super bad since like, yeah we didn’t have Wemby, Vassell or Sochan playing. I’m sure the 2000s Spurs would also be kinda ass without Tim, Manu, and Tony. Honestly once the third quarter happened I was expecting like a 25 or 30 point blowout.
They were a little spazzy and couldn’t settle in. Also nothing was dropping. Keep going.
Mavs fans: This isn’t a rivalry anymore
Biggest front runners ever as we’re in rebuilding mode and they aren’t winning shit with the fat boy 😂
I really hope CP3 tries to teach these guys about having good BBIQ, he’s a savant and honestly our team desperately lacks bbiq when you see kj driving into packed lanes.
Eh, this wasn’t unexpected. Down the top dogs, it was bound to get ugly.
We really badly need a real backup center. Collins just ain’t it and sure the play out there wasn’t going to do him the most favors, but he has stones for hands and it’s year 7/8.
I hope people who didn’t watch this game don’t get the impression that Collins played well from the box score.
If we merged Collins and Bassey it would be a okayish back up center.
Keldon is a player who gives his all on the court, he seems to be a great guy and loved by all his teammates and the coach staff. It’s a shame that he hasn’t improved in any aspect of his game, it’s basically the same way he’s been playing since he was a rookie in 2019. Unfortunately he has no future on this team.
yea pls mitch change up this rotation thanks
The chemistry off the bench is so off it’s glaring, Wesley, branham, and kj coming off is odd considering none of them can shoot and all 3 have the same play style rim runners not shot creators, which is why the lead is always blown when the bench comes, there’s no dynamic players off the bench anymore too many similarities
Good thing is Castle’s 3 keeps falling better than it did in NCAA
I’m ready for Bassey minutes.
That 3rd quarter is last year San antonio basketball! Lol
