Paul Maurice spent parts of nine years as coach of the Jets; he was 0-3-1 against Winnipeg as coach of the Panthers.

Saturday, Florida took a 4-0 lead into the third off goals from Mackie Samoskevich, Nate Schmidt, Evan Rodrigues, and Sasha Barkov. Dmitry Kulikov scored in the third.
Barkov had a three-point night, as did Sam Reinhart. Gus Forsling had two assists.
Sergei Bobrovsky got his first shutout of the season with 27 saves.
Florida travels to Winnipeg and will play the Jets on Tuesday night.
