Take care of yourselves, enjoy the stress free weekend. I know I will.
at this point, I want jimmy lake fired just so you are all able to turn your attention to the real problem – who remains kirk cousins.
this defense was projected to be bad. perhaps not this bad, but not much much better than this. it was always designed and schemed to compliment a high-powered offense.
it is the offensive side of the ball that has not held up its end up the bargain. if we’re losing every game 32-38, then we can say the D is letting us down. but my brothers, we put up 23 points in the last two weeks. our offense is anemic, and it starts with our $100 million quarterback who was brought in to unlock this offense.
the defense is delivering what was expected of them, however bad. the offense is the one underperforming. if you fixate on jimmy lake, we are going to go into the post-season in 2025-26 with kirk cousins under pistol, and it’ll all be for naught anyway.
We were the creature and they milked us
Like us an Author Smith led O didn’t find the end zone today either.
Damn we made Bo look like an elite QB today. Yeah this team has some pretty big issues
They should have put penix in. And out. And in. And out
I will never respect a coach that blatantly quits a game. I don’t care that we’re down by 32, you cannot punt and run the ball every down to run the clock out. You’re literally forfeiting the game which should be a fireable offense. This team has no heart, no fight and no grit.
Their heads got way too big from winning games against equally mid/shitty opponents. Raheem was absolutely the wrong hire and Kirk was most definitely not worth $180M. Sorry not sorry about that but you can’t have as many downright terrible games as he’s had and be benched twice in the span of a month and be worth $180M. Every player has their bright spots and when it comes to the QB whose bright spots have singlehandedly won us a few games, that tends to overshadow how truly bad they are.
I get it, they have a great pass rush. But if you’re a great QB, you should be able to find a way to be successful in spite of that. Matt never had an elite O line and was under pressure every single snap but he still found a way to be as successful as he was.
This team overachieved, mostly off of pure luck and other teams making terrible decisions, and this game showed the harsh reality of what we really are. This is a bad team. A very bad team that has been extremely fortunate to win games against equally bad teams. Fuck me, man.
Raheem literally said “this team is built on tough people” are you fucking kidding me?!
Maybe we should try to find a coach that isn’t a nice guy or is friends with the owner in the next coaching search. Which should be in about a year or two at this rate.
At least Koo showed up. Glad we didn’t cut him or we could’ve been shut out.
You can have Deion and Revis as your CBs and Earl Thomas as your safety and you’ll still give up catches if there’s no pass rush.
We will continue to live in sub .500 purgatory for years to come…
We signed Matt Ryan this off-season and he immediately retired. I get why
Team will always be capped of potential as long as you try to play games where the opposition is allowed to disrupt your drives with sacks but you never get to do the same.
I want to say, maybe unpopular:
Kyle Pitts does jog around. He does not sprint. His cuts are not Cooper-Kupp-Like. But the dude often ends up with no one even 5 yards around him, he maneuvers into spaces in the zones and sits there ready for the ball. And Kirk never throws it. He would rather throw a diving catch to London or Ray Ray in double coverage
Even if Pitts is covered… we’ve SEEN him go up and get the ball. He deserves a look. He absolutely deserves more looks on 3rd and 7 when he’s sitting wide open at the sticks. Idk. Everyone just says he jogs… but the dude is open more often than not.
Fire everyone. Embarrassing
Broncos fan coming in peace. I was at the game and just want to say that Falcons fans were some of the chillest I’ve been around at a game. Hope y’all have a good rest of the season.
Falcons still being the AFC’s bitch. 0-3 vs them this season. What a shame.
Oh and idc how you Kyle Pitts fans feel, they need to trade him for draft capital. Yeah yeah yeah so what if he goes to another team and balls out, who cares. We need the picks.
Absolutely smoked.
Why did we put our owner in the Ring of Honor again?
I love when our DBs play 10 yards off the LoS every single play. Really allows every teams playmaker to get the ball in space. YOU KNOW WHICH IS WHAT EVERY TEAM IN EVERY LEVEL OF FOOTBALL WANTS TO DO IN THIS DECADE.‼️‼️‼️
Bill belichick was begging for this job and they hire a failed interim defensive coach presiding over a historically bad defense….. make it make sense
Welcome to Atlanta where the playas don’t play 🙃
fans were leaving the Falcons game thread for the Hawks hoping to watch something better annnd that didn’t work out either
Feel like our schedule last year really skewed the fanbases perception of our defense. Go back and look at the QBs we played. Lot of journeymen, rookies, and guys you wouldn’t want starting for your team. Several of those guys still torched us. Should have been a warning sign that we hadn’t improved like many thought.
No swag No surf
Just heard on SNF that Kirk Cousins is joining the MNF crew tomorrow in the studio. We’ve lost two in a row. Got embarrassed today. But sure.
Broncos fan here. Penix only threw a couple throws but those passes were some of the cleanest passes I’ve ever seen. Tight spiral, good placement. Even the one that injured your WR, was just bad luck. Ya’ll should bench Kirk and start Penix. It’s worked out for us, I think it could work for you guys too.
