One or all of them chose to force Watson out there, knowing he was no longer an NFL player let alone starting QB. In that moment they decided this season was a waste of everyone in the franchise and fanbases time.
None of these guys are pro bowlers this season (except maybe Corey Bojorquez).
Their lack of effort is not winning them future contracts.
I fucking despise Deshaun Watson.
I agree, go Cavs
‘It is what it is’
It’s ok, I quit on them, too.
Only 9 months until football!

When you trot out a shitty QB week after week despite of performances, you erase any and all standards.
It’s not a matter of quitting, it’s a matter of having no benchmarks anymore.
Why are Ben Axelrod tweets still allowed in this sub? It’s no different than allowing some random fan’s tweets…
Their insistence to fit a square peg into a round hole was obvious in September. They were all in on Watson due to that albatross of a contract. Week after week we were told “Watson gives us the best chance to win”, even though everyone knew he didn’t. Oh well another wasted year
Remember when Seattle paid Matt Flynn an ass load of money, but Russell Wilson beat him out in training camp? Teams know.
The Browns knew in training camp. The team’s energy was off from week 1.
They knew Deshaun Watson couldn’t play.
They knew they were going nowhere because of the QB.
This whole season was a collective business decision.
As always, we were the suckers who bought all the bullshit they were selling.
The most hateable team of the past 25 years, and that’s saying something.

I knew it was over in training camp. There wasn’t a single positive story or blog about Watson’s recovery, only some leaked film of throwing short in drills without any defense.
If I had a daughter, I would encourage her to marry a Browns fan. We are the most loyal and steadfast group of people who ever existed on this planet.
I agree…sad but true
Trotting out with Watson as starting QB was definitely demoralizing for the entire organization. Except Haslam. He has the balls to expect a dome in the burbs as a participation trophy
I think that’s what’s most frustrating. The team knew Watson was cooked, the players knew Watson was cooked, all the local beat writers (save 1) tries to tell us how bad things were, even Russini came in and said it sucked. But they just pressed on.
The Watson trade was a failure, but maybe guys don’t quit and morale is still good if you play Winston (or DTR since Zac Jackson said those two were the best throwers in camp by far). But here we are, with this regime punting yet another season before it even really started.
Haslam, PLEASE SELL!!!’
I didn’t have much hope going into the season even though I had friends tell me I should. Glad I didn’t listen to them but I honestly don’t know where this franchise goes from here. The albatross of the Watson contract debacle around this team’s neck probably means we have multiple seasons of futility to come.
When not resigning Flacco would have been too much of a distraction.
Deshaun Watson quit on this team March 18, 2022
Cleveland in October – baseball is still going strong but the Browns season is over….
Go Cavs. Go Guardians.
The Buckeyes won convincingly yesterday and the Cavs are still undefeated. I just point and giggle at the Browns anymore. It doesn’t which phase either. It’s all embarrassing…
