  1. Ngl ill take sherwood over zadorov. I liked the guy but I like what we've got going now. I think tocchet has all the puzzle pieces, it's just a matter of putting them together in the right order.

  2. Hughes Hronek
    Soucy Myers
    Brannstrom Vinny
    Forbort Juulsen

    D petey, Willander soon

Dont need Rasmus Andersson or Weegar, too expensive to acquire and play #3 or 4 minutes. 6.250 mil for weegar.

    Hughes Hronek
    Anderson Weegar
Brannstrom would get destroyed in the playoffs.

    soucy a 7d at 3.250 🤣

canucks fans have a fit that the bottom pair doesnt make 900k each as is ( league average is 3.5)

  3. People need to understand this is how hockey works. Give up draft and prospect capital to win now. I would agree lekkerimäki and willander are untouchables but everything else on the table.

  4. No thanks to moving Willander. It's like we're trying to be Pittsburgh before winning anything. Lol. Weegar will be 31 in January with 6 more years on his deal AFTER this year. Are we looking for our next OEL? We can't keep bleeding good young talent. Especially for middling players or players who will be overpaid in 2-3 years. We should have targeted a top 4 D in the offseason instead of bringing back Myers and adding Forbot and Desharnais. That's 6.5mil we could have spent on someone actually good.

  5. Not to ruin your hopes but both Weegar & Andersen are going to take a real huge blow Conroy away to part with either one. Something I doubt the Canucks would be willing to part with. But who knows, there would be several teams going hard for either one of them. Our analytics are pretty bad, probably should be a bottom 10 team but Flames are in the top wild card spot. Only 1 reason is that both Wolf & Vladar have been playing awesome. Pretty important to have the goalie position clarified when navigating a rebuild. But our goalies need the help & Andersen & Weegar have been stellar playing with the new D. Hence if a whacko price isnt met, I dont see much motivation for Conroy to move either one. You are right, Weegar is probably the best of the two of them.

  6. If we're talking about trading for Weegar or Andersson, the Canucks may as well try to trade for Bowen Byram who fits this profile and is also an expiring RFA this summer.

  7. From what I understand of the Flames, Wolf, Parekh and Weegar are the only untouchables on their roster. Weegar has endeared himself to their management and fans. Only way they move Weegar is if Weegar himself asks to be moved, love when hockey writers ignore things like that.

  8. I’ll do a trade for Anderson as long as we don’t touch Lekkerimaki or willander all other prospects I would say are fair game (Bains as well maybe)
