[Cimini] Aaron Rodgers is now 1-6 on passes thrown more than 10 yards downfield over the last two weeks. Prior to that, Rodgers was completing 46% of such passes. It is the first time in Rodgers’ career that he has failed to complete two such passes in consecutive starts. #Jets

1. He’s a shell of himself, but to expect the Jets to get anything less than the leftovers of the league is a delusion.

2. The offense was fine after the horrific start.

   Once it was 24-16 the defense should’ve got another stop and closed it out and they simply didn’t. Rodgers wasn’t the biggest issue

3. The offense was trash today and scored two of their TDs off defensive/special teams turnovers.

5. He lost a major step in 2022, his last 300 yard game was week 17 of the 2021 season. Almost 3 full years ago and add a reconstructed Achilles to that.

6. Derek Carr was right there for the taking, and we could have had him without giving up any draft picks. Instead, we went with an aging washed grandpa who should have retired.

    If you need the QB to literally be the best player in the league for the team to succeed you are doing this thing completely wrong. Rodgers has been bad by Rodgers standards no doubt. Expecting an MVP performance from him so the defense can get stops when it matters is ridiculous. Rodgers started slow but ultimately had a good day.

18. I never wanted him as the QB, but I suppose Woody Johnson knows better.

19. Rodgers has been pretty bad but the defense and special teams are the bigger reason that they aren’t a playoff team.

20. Offense has no identity. Downing calls a play, then Rodgers changes it to attack a one on one he likes. Then throws a quick slant, quick out, or a 50/50 throw outside the numbers. Offense is predictable yet has no identity

21. It is what it is. He’s old. His legs are failing on him. It happens. Just have to finish out this disaster and move on. No reason for him to be back next year because he won’t be any younger.
