My son was just finishing up skating lessons today while decked out in his Canucks jersey (and holding a Fin stuffy) at a local community centre and this guy comes up and starts talking to us about the Canucks. Thought he was just a friendly guy wanting to chat about the team, but then explains that he works for them and he's giving us tickets to an upcoming game for the show of support 🤯 What an amazing moment for my son. He is beyond excited! It was cool that it was just a genuine local community interaction and not some big performative thing too.

  1. Honestly mad props for them not shoving a camera in your face and making it performative. Genuine moments like this are what it’s all about.

  2. Ok so that’s pretty cool. That’s a core memory for your kid – this and going to the game. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were selected for some sort of prize during the game too.
I appreciate when they focus on kids for these things. When I’m at games I don’t make much of an effort to “win” giveaways, leave it for the kids. Glad you guys get to create that core memory together!!
