Coach Flus with another W stat
I feel like whenever we brought that extra pressure we sped up his process and AT THE VERY LEAST made him uncomfy in the pocket. Flus needed to recognize the standard, what 3 or 4 down linemen weren’t getting the job done.
Glad we kept Eberflus for his defensive prowess
“Eberflus defends his decision to play into opposing QB’s strengths”
Good coaches know these stats league wide. Begs the question, what the hell is Flus doing to prep the team/coaches?!
u see, it’s about execution
I mean, in fairness (blech) his biggest play of the game came against the blitz, and it’s not like the D didn’t have a good by NFL standards game.
Tbf it could be a personnel issue for all we know. Who would be blitzing?
I think the bigger issue was the almost nonexistent pressure from the front 4
3rd and 12. Sit back. 3rd and 3. Sent the house
I’m not sure where to find better stats, but PFR advanced def stats showed 82 total blitz from individuals (doesn’t take into account same play blitz), and only 29 total hurries. So not sure what you were expecting, but flus doesn’t blitz often. I get Love sucks against blitz, but flus has shown he doesn’t do that.
I’d love (no pun) for that to be the case, it just hasn’t been for 3yrs + , so we can only hope to ride the rest of the year out and get competence in all coaching positions.
HITS!
Matt eberfuck is not very intelligent
Eberflus is better at playing to opposing QB’s strengths than his own QB’s strengths
Flus is awful
He was also 2/3 for 68 yards yesterday vs the blitz and 8/8 under pressure. Maybe thats why
That’s just so crazy it might work!
Does no research, doesn’t know anything about anything ever, then blames everyone else when he fucks up.
Motherfucker shouldn’t be in charge of the garden section at Walmart, much less an NFL team.
Flus when asked on this: well we first needed to let him play a few series to see if the game really needed blitz. I was scared he may burn us for a touchdown so I did not want to blitz. Besides a 4 man rush is better for the process I’ve been trying to build. Just ten more years and we will beat the packers. Let’s focus on the positives.
Flus did his homework.
I love that the thumbnail is Ben Johnson lol
And one of those blitzes Christian Watson lucked into a 60+ yard gain because Jaylon Johnson fell down. I fault Flus for many things but how they played defensively from a schematic perspective isn’t one of them. Player error bit them in the ass hard.
Great game plan
The bears defense held them to 20 points? And that included a busted play because of a fluke. Holy shit the defensive plan was great yesterday. Scoring 19 points is not a sustainable way to win games in the NFL.
For not being able to stop the run and not getting pressure the defensive scheme held its own
We gave up 20 points. I don’t think our lack of blitzing was the reason we lost.
