Looking back at the Preseason picks to take the east from the boys over at NFL Gameday

  1. To be fair Miami would likely be in a lot better spot without Tua’s tragic concussion issues. I still legit feel sad for that guy.

  2. I never understood people picking other teams this year. I was confident we would win the division.

Jets – 40 something quarterback coming off an Achilles and they are the Jets.
Dolphins – Tua’s history of concussions. Generally a soft team. We always play well against them.

Knowing that we still have Josh Allen and a McD defense, and we have owned the division in recent years, why would an “expert” pick any other team?

  3. Picking the Jets is unforgivable, but I don’t think the Dolphins was a crazy pick up win the division before the season started.

  4. Under the definition of asshat you find this photo. But on another note, football is a team sport. It takes everyone working in conjunction to get it done.

  5. I mean, had Tua not been about as FRA-GI-LE as a leg lamp for Christmas, the Dolphins would likely have a chance to be there.

  6. Ok, but if you told these guys in August that we’d have Amari Cooper, I think we’d see a couple different picks

  7. Eh, their job is to generate interest. Rodgers gives clicks, and Miami is actually good when Tua isn’t hurt – but their team construction is hamstrung by their contracts so their O-Line is going to suck and most of their D-Line talent walked last year, so thinking they were going to get *better* was kind of a stretch.

  8. I’m still not sure what people saw in the Jets. Rodgers was fairly washed a few years ago and they had other glaring holes.

  9. Football analysts are like weatherman. We want their predictions but deep down expect them to be mostly inaccurate.

  10. As a Seahawks fan I thought it was absolutely idiotic to pick anyone but the bills. The only reason to pick anyone else was simply because you like chaos and were a bills hater. Again as a Seahawks fan I can’t wait for a bills-lions Super Bowl with me wearing a Josh Allen jersey.
