  1. Hey Rich, Die hard Giants fan here. Despite the organization's lack of success, I do agree that Schoen and Daboll will be back. With that, I trust Daboll so much more than Schoen, who's proven to be a snake in my eyes. I wish there were a world in which Mara could bring back Daboll and get rid of Schoen especially in the manner in which Schoen disrespected Saquon.

Joe guess who has the last laugh now that Saquon is skating all over your colossal mistake! Joke's on you pal and I'll be roasting the day you're out of job along with DJ.

  2. Where do the Giants go from here? Same place they started. Wasting a top draft pick by reaching for a QB who can't meet their impossibly high expectations but still re-signing him to a second contract that they regret before the ink dries and then doing it all over again in 5 years.

  3. The GM needs to go. Saquon putting up an MVP caliber season for a division rival because he decided to give Daniel Jones $160M is THE microcosm of his failures to build a roster or identify talent.

  4. Daniel Jones has been hot garbage every year but one, yet that playoff win earned him some cash and time.
Perhaps he'll be commentating on pro lacrosse someday.

  5. Can we stop talking about Barkley already. He never would’ve done in NY that he’s doing in Philly. The most he would’ve done was add maybe 1 or 2 wins. Barkley was wasting his career with the Giants

  6. As a giant fan we’ve got it wrong, so so wrong over and over and over again , I would rather take Travis Hunter and just wait for arch manning , I don’t care if we suck for 2 more years waiting it doesn’t matter anymore it’s been 6 long years of Jones , not to mention the team they ruined with a old Eli Manning giving him nothing . If Nabers and Hunter can both be giants that’s huge but hopefully we could keep at least just one player long term ever lol

  7. Paying Jones was a disastrous mistake, no doubt. But anyone who thinks that Saquon would be doing nearly as much this season if he was still with the Giants is clearly hallucinating .As for picking DeVito over Lock, I’d say that’s the right choice. In both preseason and mop up work, Lock has looked utterly dreadful. DeVito actually had good moments last season.

  8. This move is about seeing whether Tommy DeVito is good enough to be the long term back up QB or a legit challenger for the starter's job. I don't care about the draft right now. I care about Tommy DeVito being able to build on his decent showing last year and execute Brian Daboll's offense with positive results and consistency.

  9. It was inevitable.Jones is shell shocked. He's like a deer in the headlights. He might catch on as a backup somewhere. Daboll and Schoen should be given two more years to draft and develop their own quarterback.

  10. Giants suck!!!
Thanks to Mara for hiring shitty GMs and coaches with the exception of Daboll.
Giants are already crap for 8 years and going to last for another 10.

  11. You are right! Daboll does look like a decent coach. I would fire Shoen! He has made 2 bonehead moves: Not signing Barkley 2 years ago and signing Jones to a $160 Million, 4-year contract! Bonehead!

  12. They should keep this coach because he is smart enough to not go out and empty his emotions and tell everything that is happening inside the organization. It seems that coaches and especially players can't shut their mouths when you put a mike in front of them. Decisions and other information made in-house should mostly stay behind closed doors. Stop trying to entertain or just deflect and just give some bland nondescript answers and get back to coaching and balling.

  13. about time they finally realize this bum is not an NFL QB. The biggest mistake of the off season was paying him and letting Barkley walk. They will be drafting another QB which they will screw up

  14. Tommy Devito's numbers are impressive for a backup. 8 TD's / 3 INT's for last season. Why the hell didn't he start? This is what's wrong with the Giants, they are so poorly managed that decisions like this should have been made a long time ago. Tommy will awaken Nabers. Those two are gonna cook for the remaining games left. At least they have some hope at making the games entertaining.

  15. 100% LIES…they made that decision, because Drew Locks contract is built on playing time. He gets 250k on each step of 40%, 50%, 60%, etc….THE COACH IS LYING, Both him and Jones are huge problems for the New Jersey Giants!

  16. Not signing Barkley was the front office decision, not Dabol's. Too bad they signed Jones to such a big contract. When they drafted Barkkey, I asked who was going to block for him. They didn't have an offensive line..

  17. I posted after his 1st season in the NFL that Jones while not the worst NFL QB, would never be an elite QB, because he lacked certain fundamental qualities that lite QB's must possess. HIs pocket presence was deplorable, resulting in too many sacks and too many fumbles. Pocket presence being an innate quality, not something that can easily be taught. He frequently locked onto his primary receiver, telegraphing where he intended to throw, allowing defenses to close the gap and disrupt the play or intercept the pass. He did not go through his progressions and therefore missed way too many opportunities to make big plays and score. His inability to put points on the board consistently was very worrisome, in a league where teams were routinely scoring 30+ points. He never elevated the play of any receiver, in fact, he relied much too heavily on his talented running back to save his bacon. His greatest asset was his running ability, and while he was not particularly fast, he ran well enough. However, despite his running ability, he was not particularly elusive within the pocket, often appearing oblivious to an impending sack or the rush, and often ran into defenders. When the pocket collapsed (often) he rarely looked to make a play down-field, rather he tucked his chin and ran, or dunked the ball to Barkley or another safety valve for a net zero to 3-5 yard gain. His pass completion statistics were deceiving, because the vast majority of his passes were less than 10 yards. I posted that for Jones to succeed as a game management type QB, about the best one could expect of him, he required a team with a roster filled with talent, a successful running and passing game, with a deep threat receiver to open the field, prevent defenses from putting 7 up front. He also needed a top 5 defense, because Jones was likely to always be challenged to put points on the board. It turns out that most of my predictions and assessment of Jones was fairly accurate. Schoen not getting any draft picks back to Barkley was a sin. I mean, I know Schoen tried to sign Barkley, but they were never close, it was obvious that Schoen did not value Barkley the way the Barkley wanted to be valued and paid, and he should have known that there would be a team out there that was a near complete team, needing that man to put them over the hump. It happened to be the Giants arch rivals. I never felt that the Giants and Barkley were a good fit or that drafting Barkley or another Running Back with the 2nd overall pick was a smart thing to do, when the team desperately needed a new QB,

  18. If you look at NFL Coach of the Year winners you’ll see it’s a curse. Last year it was the Browns coach and they stink this year. Vrabel won it in 2021. He’s now consulting for the loser Browns.

  19. Tom Coughlin's record after the last superbowl-
    2012: 9-7
    2013: 7-9
    2014: 6-10
    2015: 6-10
Then they fired him after winning 2 championships because it just wasn't good enough. If that wasn't good enough, then what has Dabs done here to justify him staying on as HC? This team had 1 fluke season (with Gettlemans roster) and has looked worse each year since. Nothing this organization does makes any sense
