[Jon Morosi] Cubs get involved in free agent chase for Dodgers vet Walker Buehler

  1. He would be a good addition. We have depth in case he doesn’t figure it back out but he still has TOR potential if he’s fully healthy. He could have a big rebound here like Bellinger did.

  2. He was -1.3 WAR coming back from Tommy John. Probably in line for a one year prove it deal. Not the worst flyer the Cubs have ever taken.

  3. Idc what people say here. God fucking dammit. Walker Buehler was gd terrible last year, and left everything in the tank out for the playoffs. Instead of going for a legit ace, or a far better reclamation project like Shane Bieber, I’m hearing about this fucking guy.

Cubs FO can suck my dick

  4. He always sucked against us so that’s my view of him. Is he that bad or do we just light him up?

  5. This is fine and all, but we really need to stop relying on fliers to take the team to the next level. These moves need to be paired with higher ticket guys.

  6. Good. Spend money, we got it. Also it’s worth it just to keep the Dodgers from ruling the NL

  7. Usually takes 2 seasons post TJ surgery to get back to your “old self” similar to ACL & Achilles tears

  8. I’m fine with this move. I hate the idea that they can’t even lie to us about Soto and trying to sign him. Just goes to show you they don’t care about the perception they have anymore.

  9. Max F. or another top SP. why the heck would we gamble on another 3/4 pitcher (unless a true pillow bargain)

Hate what poor Tom R. has done to this franchise.

Set up expectations for high costs and high budgets and cut the legs out.
