  1. Its probably way off the wall, but Manfred stabbing Fisher in the back wouldn’t be so far off the bingo card of possibilities, given the recent track record of MLB.

  2. A’s probably end up in Utah if that happens. Although Fisher being forced to sell, would make me feel good, I would never wish a relocation on any fanbase, so I hope the Rays stay.

  3. I think the sh*t storm would be too much even for Manfred. They’ve already burned the ships re: the A’s leaving Oakland, so they’re going to have them move no matter what. If Vegas falls through for whatever reason (or if the Rays move there, which seems very unlikely), the A’s would get pawned off to Utah or Nashville or something. The Rays are probably in the same boat. If the Tampa thing doesn’t work out, then it’s Utah or Nashville.

  4. Personally, my only path back to A’s fandom would be if they find a permanent home in Sac or back in Oakland.

  5. The Rays leapfrogging the A’s to Las Vegas would be exactly what Fishface deserves! I hope it does happen for a multitude of reasons! Ha!

  6. It wouldn’t be off brand. Ever since they dumped the Manta Ray moniker in favor of a Ray of light, it would make sense since Vegas is the brightest spot on earth.

Just build a bunch of neon lights and bright marquee out front of the stadium in an effort to match the vintage Vegas vibes of yesteryear and.. vwah-LAH!!!

  7. The only way the Rays or any other team ends up in Vegas is if the A’s are staying in Sac. And the only way they stay in Sac is if Fisher sells to Vivek.
